Here's a Saturday AM question to get you going...

How much might the er... "girls":Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc add to one's weight?! it ocurred to me last night that I've gone up a cup and a half on my latest BC pills and maybe they're responsible for that pesky couple of pounds I just can't shake. Or am I just making excuses to get me out of exercising?!

And I know what you're thinking - yes I did try to weigh them. It didn't work; I just fell over on the bathroom floor. :rotfl:
I'll leave you with that lovely image to contemplate as you go about your day...

Does anyone have suggestions for an accurate scale? I threw out the digital one because I'm pretty sure I didnt lose and regain 20 lbs stepping on and off it. I just dont know which is a good brand. The WW ones had some bad reviews on Amazon so I am little leery to buy one. Any ideas?

i got the "Thinner" scale - is digital I like it...very simple for my simple mind!...think you can find them at LinensNThings

Yikes! I am in sticker shock over the good scales. My little IKEA one says not to be used for trade which makes me think it isnt accurate but I only paid 5.00 for it! The ones I see are $50-90.oo each.Well, my wallet will be lighter anyway.
 
Good Evening Peeps! hope everyone had a skinny day! I am coming to you now to excape the madness taht is my house...DS's each had a friend come over...MassChaos!!:crazy2:

I was good today - spent a day for me!:banana: went and got my blonde lowlites in the ole hairdo, went for a strenuous bike ride, cleaned my house...(ok so that last part wasn't for me)

I made Krusteaz Cranberry muffins and added flaxseed meal...OMG they are SO yummy:thumbsup2 you gotta try em!

So a big hello to our newbies Michelle and Snow:wave: you are in he right place so go weigh and get your starting point so that you know what you did last week...and get your bathing suit picture ready cuz Utah says we all have to post, you go first!;)

not yet- or is it? hmmm...

Snow- please dont get overwhelmed...I have set a goal of 5 lbs, and it has taken FOREVER and I am still not there yet...much bigger goal is 30-35 lbs..so if 5 is hard to lose how can I possibly do more?, weeelll the answer is baby steps. upping water, lowering cals, upping exercise...making healthy choices one meal at a time, one snack at a time...My first piece of advice, get you some food scales and measuring cups so that you can determine what the correct portion is that you are supposed to be eating...make little changes like - park at the back of the lot, take the stairs when you can...walk after eating instead of having dessert...and realize that one step backwards doesn't have to undo you...just stop and think of why you took that step backwards and what you couldv'e done differently...

this week we are focusing on our pitfalls and why we go there? sounds like yo picked a good time to come onboard!!

Just got home and washed, showered, bathed very dirty children (DS ran out of clean underwear and socks 3 days ago) and sat down to skim through the 50 or so pages you guys racked up this week and this caught my eye!!!!

Harley girl - I LOVE YOU TOO!!

OK firstly my prayers are with you with the friends over!! DS had 2 over last night and I am still wating to discover what thing of MINE the little darlings broke! Several times thorughout the nihgt I thought a stampede of elephants were set free in my house!!! I am surverying the damage now since they have gone home now!!! They all decied to sleep over in the living room and heard one whipser....your parents have soem sort of parental lock on the tv?? Thats right SKIPPY I sure do!!!;) Slept soundly, I had a proud moment DS told them he has the music on his tv and put on the soundscapes meditiation music and they all fell off to sleep! Wierd niether boy thought it was wierd ...tweens can be rough!

Now you don't expect to get away with making a statement like that and not get a nudgin or 10 for it!!!

NOW YOU HAVE TO TELL!!!!!!! HOW DID YOU GET THE GIRLS WEIGHTS.......??????? :rotfl:
 
Stacey- acutually, boys (and men boys) can turn their undies around on the second day, inside out the 3rd day....

Everyone's glitter looks great! I love bling!

I did step on the scales when I got in. However, I do not think it is a fair assesment since I have been in the car all day and my family forced me to eat at McDonalds and because of my incredibly small bladder I am not allowed to drink, especially water on road trips. So I am going to drink some water and take a laxative and weigh again in the morning.

Okay I am going to go back to reading now.

Would you mind sharing the muffin recipe? One of the things I have to do for the fatty liver is add flax seed to my diet and I havent a clue how you use it. Muffins sounds easy and I love cranberries. Thanks!

Stacey it is amazing that some of the male mebers here their unmentionables can walk themsleves to the washer makiing what it sounds like crying sounds!!!

SNOW I alwasy tell the dr or nurse I am just blaoted I was 120 lb the day before!!! I must be retaining water!!! THEY DO NOT LAUGH but I DO!!

It is no surpirse but it is a relief to know it is not permanent...as long as I decide to stay in my solution and get out of the problem.....I get great help ehre and am so glad you found it too!! Look forward to you lightening your spirit your body and mind!!

hehe wouldn't ya like to know! for reals, my DH says he is a professional and that he knows his girls and he guesstimated them for me...he'd gladly help you if you need assistance in that area...OOhh I know, your DH can hold them and mine can guesstimate!:lmao: hehe!

1. go to store
2. buy Krusteaz Cranberry muffin mix
3. mix according to direction, but add 2 Tbs flax seed meal to batter

easypeazy lemon squeazy! mine made 12 reg muffins and 8 minis...works out to around 100 cal 1.5 gms fiber/muffin ZERO FAT!!! yippee...(I assumed that 2 minis = 1 reg muffin)

I put 2 T. flax seed meal on my oatmeal every morning. It is also good sprinkled over cold cereal.
 
:confused3 Am I just confused why do womens clothes have a size 0,2,4,6,14 anyway. Is anyones waist really 2 inches or even 14 inches?????? With mens clothes the size is the Sizei.e. if you wear a 42 then your waist is 42" I know it is complicated but it works for us.:teacher: :idea: :confused:

Oh the horror!!!! You want me to measure my waist and not lie about the result?:rotfl2: We would still find some strange way like measure your waist, subtract 10 then add your # of pregnancies then divide by 4!
