Hi V--

Grumpy has been training in Minnesota for the last 2 weeks, then he will train in SD till next week. So, last week I drove:drive: 5.5 hrs to MNPLS to see him.

I am not sure why he hasnt been on line, other than I think he gets a little depressed when he is away from us and doesnt even talk to us much.

Usually, you guys perk him up, so I hope he will be coming back on line!

Bee - Next time you talk to Grumpy, tell him that he has been missed on the DIS! Look I made a rhyme!:rotfl: :rotfl2:

duncanBrandisweetie - Welcome to our little group here (that keeps growing:thumbsup2 )

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: CONGRATULATIONS LOSER & SAMERS!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Snow, snow, snow.......

School is NOT canceled and SHOULD HAVE BEEN. And it's still snowing! I just spent 35 minutes driving 2 of my kids to their schools in my neighborhood!!!! All surrounding counties are closed. Tried to fire off an email to the district but the web site is either down or more likely...too busy.

I even witnessed an accident on the way home from driving DD to her high school. Two teens tapped the brakes in a curve and hit an adult driver. I just want to let someone know that teenagers in cars on snow are actually the weakest link in the transporation chain when it comes to calling off school. :sad2:

Thanks for listening. :thumbsup2

Lookie there V posted right above me. :)

Hope everything is ok at your house V. It sounds like the weather in FL was rough last night.
LOL, that was so funny! No problems here - I think it hit north and east of us. Just rainy and gray around the Tampa Bay region today. Blech.

What kind of training? (Sorry if this has already been covered - in addition to my missing pages, I have the worst short-term memory! Must have something to do with those college years... )
Tell him we say hi!

Sometimes I wonder what those officials are thinking. :sad2: They will cancel it when it isn't necessary and then not cancel when it is. :crazy2: Glad you got your kids to school safely. Luckily my snow isn't sticking to the roads, so driving DS won't be a problem.:drive:

Have a good day Peeps!

V-

Grumpy works for Qwest. They are a huge phone company. Grumpy is a corporate trainer and travels to teach people in the Kiosks at the malls how to sell.

It is ok, I dont have a great memory sometimes either.

Love ya!!

Just chcking in and catching up. 3 pages while I was asleep! WOW!
Howdy neighbor! So, where abouts are you? I must have missed it... I'm in Granbury, 30 miles SW of Fort Worth.
Hi back, neighbor! I am in McKinney- North of Dallas (by Plano and Frisco.)

Welcome Duncansweetie! You will love it here!

Off to try to catch up before I leave for work. Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Peeps !

I am down 1 pound...for a total of 9...baby steps.

Brandy...Welcome ! :cheer2: :cheer2: I have a major chocolate problem too. It doesn't help that my SIL lives in Switzerland and is always sending little "treats". Have you tried the Cadbury thins ? They are thin, thin little chocolate bars that are only 100 calories (2 WW points). I reward myself with one if I drink my 4 litres of water a day. The Mint one is YUMMY !!!!!

I have a new favorite sidedish....Barley ! I use it in place of rice or pasta. (2 WW points per cooked cup rather then 4 points per cooked cup of brown rice). I had it yesterday with stirfried Veg. and soya ginger sauce. I have found that the best way to cook it is like pasta (LOTS of water) and then drain it.

My DH is coming home from USA today this 3 packages of FF brownie mix. I will have some "pooh muffins" tonight.(Canadian stores very few FF products. No Squirt salad dressing !!!! CRAZY !!!! Good thing my hubby is my diet food mule)

Utah...how do you like your purple Dyson ? I need a new vaccuum and saw the dyson yesterday. Do you love it ?

Congrats to all the losers, samers and even gainers. Yes, gainers too- it takes alot of guts to stick with it even when you gain, and to admit and post a gain too.

Oh and before I head out...I technically weigh in tomorrow morening at WW. Should I post my loss from last week or wait until tomorrow to post my loss for this week?? Last week I was down 3.6. Other wise I can give my loss tomorrow for this week...assuming there is one!

I have always weighed heavy and not really looked like how much I weigh.

Mee too Wonders! I am hoping that I can just get to where I feel healthy and then get a note from my Dr. They will accept that to let you ahve a higher goal weight. Without getting 'the twins' surgically altered, there is no way I can weigh what they say I should.

I'm up two pounds. Eeks! Oh well, I will try, try again. This weekend we are tearing out sheetrock in the garage, so I should burn some major calories!

Lately it seems to me when it rains, it pours . . . My grandfather passed away yesterday and even though he had been sick, I don't think any of us were really prepared because the doctors couldn't really say if he had months or years.

I really don't want to fall off the diet wagon because I've been trying so hard and doing so well, but I know the next few weeks will be a challenge for me and my family. My dad has been laid off now for almost 6 months, and it was his father, and so my DH and I have been so supportive of him lately both emotionally and somewhat financially to help my mom get him through his unemployment and now this. My DH is going to Columbus on Sunday night for 3 weeks for his nursing home administrator's licensing, and my parents have been offering for me and our dogs to come stay with them while he's gone . . . So he basically things I should stay with them at least next week with all that they're going through because it seems like they really want me there. In addition to all of this, I went to the doctor Tuesday night because I've been having a cramp in my calf for the last couple of weeks, and the good news is that it isn't a blood clot, but somehow I seriously injured it so now I'm on like three different medications and not allowed to exercise for at least two weeks or so.

I just don't know where to turn, and I appreciate all of my peeps here for keeping me laughing and upbeat, and of course the support. I'm really gonna try to stick to my diet and perhaps even walk on the treadmill at my parents a bit just to keep active, but I appreciate any suggestions and words of wisdom from you guys to help me take it one day at time!!

Winkers: My prayers are with you and your family :grouphug: , be strong!!

Dwheatl: Get well soon! I had a perforated eardrum on a plane years ago, so I know how painful that can be . . . get plenty of rest and make sure your family takes good care of you!

Thank you for thinking of me, and I wish the same for you also! :grouphug:

I am up a pound. :sad2: I feel like I have let the team down. :sad1: I will do better next week. Because of the cold and snowy weather, DH and I didn't get to walk the dogs much this week. I promise to do better next week. It could have been worse had I not done the CB last night. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

My GA babes (Harley, dismom, and dragonfly) - Did General Beauregard Lee see his shadow at the Yellow River Game Ranch today? That is one thing I miss about being in GA. I know it sounds silly, but I do. They always made a big production out of it on the news. We don't even have a groundhog over here in AL. :sad2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

My tummy still feels uneasy from the CB, so I may "rid" myself some more today. That will help for next week. ;)

Congrats to all of us! We are all trying to be accountable to one another, and we are here for each other! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just hit "last" page read quickly - update I am now in Downtown Chicago !! Ddddaaadddaa tum!!! I am having walking miles and miles!!!

We have Sir Walter Wally!

Lynda, thank you for sharing your story . It made me realize that things could definatley be alot worse.

I'm doing ok this morning, sad but I feel good. My sister got here at 4a.m. so I've been up since then trying to catch up on things. Thank you for all the love and support! The pathology report came back yesterday and showed that the cancer is in her lymph nodes , so not long before it will spread everywhere. We are praying that she is able to have a peacefull and quick death. Wow, that sounds so harsh, but she's in alot of pain. I spent most of yesterday at the hospital and will do the same today. On the bright side I've been able to spend alot of time with family and appreciate how much they mean to me. A

Glad I'm not the only one. I always feel funny saying that but it is true. The weight range for someone my height (5'3") according to WW is 105-ish and 141. When I first did WW and hit goal, it was at 130 although I had gotten down to 127. I was probably a 6-8 and wore smalls in most tops or mediums. But I found it was too hard to maintain that size so 140 would probably be better but to be honest, I would be happy being at 150. But I'll see what I look like and how I feel when I get closer to those numbers.

Also I think it was you that talked about the WW smoothies? with a banana? If not, oops. But I bought them last night and had one this morning with a banana and it was pretty good. Definitely very filling but we'll see how long I last til lunch. But I hate how expensive all their food is - I mean, $7 for smoothies? :scared1: Wow.

Oh another thing. I remember one of you mentioning sedation dentistry when I was talking about my teeth issues last week. They are feeling better but I do want to get them checked out and taken care of. Have any of you actually done the sedation dentistry? What was it like? Thanks!

I love my Dyson!!!! I want to Marry it!!!!!

The only thing is, the belts are on back order. My DS6 vacuumed up his plugged in game boy charger and broke the belt. So we're using it on "no roller" mode which is STILL better than my old vacuums like Hoover, Bissell, etc. It SUCKS!!!! (;) )

I LOVE barley! I 'll have to cook some to add to my zero point soup in case I want it to be a little more filling

Hi Peeps! I'm sorry that I've been MIA for a few days! I've got sooo much to catch up on. Be-lated Happy Birthday! and Welcome! to the Peeps that I've missed! I promise to do better in keeping up with you all!

Today's weigh in results:

-1 pound for a total of 2.5 in 2 weeks. Not terrible, considering that this week I fell off the wagon and it ran over me a few times. :sad2:

I hope you all have a great weekend! :hippie:

-Michelle

P.S. I've got a purple Dyson, too, and I LOVE it! Best vacuum I ever had!
