DIS Twigirls & Twiguys Coven dazzles on the Wonder Podcruise Meet

OK, OK, I don't belong here...no cruise for me-but I love reading your comments about Twilight...I wish I could be there & join all of you. Have a great time all!!!

Is that an unusal allergy? I have never heard of that.

I like Martinis too. I have to say, Vodka not Gin. Now all I can think of is a Cosmo.

I think it's more of a toxicity than an allergy...LOL! Tell the story, Brandie.
Technically he's allergic to cinnamon oil. I guess they discovered it when he was about 10-11 years old. His cousins dared him to take a shot of cinnamon oil or something...he did and well, the reaction wasn't quite what they had bargained for. So he discovered the cinnamon allergy. He can handle a bit of cinnamon powder, but candles, candies, or cinnamon based fragrances cause his throat to close up and he can't breathe.

It's really a shame too...cinnamon candles are my favorite!

But I love having my husband around, so I've parted ways with my cinnamon...:thumbsup2 I won't even chew cinnamon gum or eat cinnamon candy anymore.

Funny story though...given his allergies...guess where he was working when I first met him?

His mom's cinnamon roll shop in the mall! He was about 15 years old...roughly...and when he'd work there, he was covered from head to toe and would have to wear a face mask to keep from inhaling the cinnamon powder.

Did everyone get a chance to see Rob Pattinson at the Oscar's last night? OME, he looked hot in his tuxedo!!!!! :rolleyes1

Ahem...

<<<<See tag fairy tag I've had for two or three years to understand what I was watching last night.:lovestruc

OK. I'm old enough to be his mother. Honestly. Seriously. So I feel a little more creepy talking about him than I do about the character of Edward. (After all, Edward is old enough to be my great-grandfather.:rotfl:)

That said, he did look nice in his tux and did a good job presenting. But, I'm not a big fan of the whole unkempt, tousled, unshaven, scruffy look myself. Did anyone else notice that, when they kept showing him behind Mickey Rourke during the Best Actor presentation, he looked a little, um, bored? Of course, bored, scruffy ROB was much better to look at than Mickey Rourke though!

I'm with you on this one. It feels a bit weird to me too, hence I have not joined in too much of the Twilight talk.

We did too! I kept wondering if the 'peering out from under the eyebrows' was just his normal look, boredom or being in character.

OME!

YouTube video - referencing exactly what we were talking about - Rob looking bored but fabulous behind Mickey Rourke at the Oscars...

yummy drinks Tonya~!

Dodie- he did look bored, i agree- i thought that was funny. he's at the Oscars and looks like he is twiddling his thumbs or something.

i finally did see the movie 2 weekends ago! DH went too- we planned to see something else, but picked the wrong time and only Twilight was showing, so we saw it. DH said it was better than he expected (he won't read the books). it was okay for me- somehow i thought the special effects were lacking at the first. but then again it isn't a special effects movie really. I did enjoy seeing their vision of the book compared to what I had come up with in my own head!

Well, I am half way through New Moon so I guess I better pick up the pace.

That is too funny about the Cinnamon Roll Shop. Allergies are scary.

Tonya, that Vampire one sounds good.
