Dis Mom's Club?

Hi pixiedustmomma! We are going in December 2011 also! I can't wait to see Disney at Christmas!

Yay! More home schoolers! That's wonderful! I hope you enjoy homeschooling as much as we do. We didn't start until my son was in 6th grade.

I homeschooled the boys for 2 years until their dad and I separated but it was a LONG time ago, LOL!! And this one's very, VERY different from her brothers.

First off to Kimberly, we are about 5 minutes from RIT. That is where my oldest would like to attend. She goes to anime conventions there all the time and just loves the campus.
<snip>
So we had such a busy day today. This was our day.
10am Town Egg Hunt
11am Adventure Landing Egg Hunt
12pm Micheal's Free Craft Day
1pm Home Depot
(quick run to Walmart for ice and cups)
2pm Set up Girl Scout Egg Hunt
3pm GS Egg Hunt

Yikes, I'm tired just reading about your day! How cool about you being so close to RIT!

As for my day, well... we booked our first DVC trip for the end of the month, booked our September trip (c'mon free dining), and booked dining for both. Earlier this week we booked our Feb sailing on the Dream. Plus we already have a trip booked for the end of November/beginning of December. I keep telling DH it's good for business since who wants to book a Disney vacation with someone who doesn't go all the time? :rotfl2:

Hello everyone! My name is Jessica and I am a Disney addict(so my husband will tell everyone) my DH is Mike and our son is Nolan who is 4. Nolan is already a Disney addict who informed us at the age of three that he is going to marry Daisy and Minnie when he grows up. Now that he is 4 he has also added in Selena Gomez! I work for a bank that is currently going through a merger which is very stressful so planning our next Disney vacation gives me something to look forward to!

Happy Easter! and WELCOME to the new moms!

Off to get ready to head to VA for the family get together.

Hello Ladies! :flower3:

What a gorgeous day! Most years we still have snow (sometimes lots of it!) on Easter Sunday but today was great! we actually got to hide eggs outside!

I was very nervous about dinner as I was taking care of everything.
My Mom & Dad live 2 blocks away and Grandma & Grandpa live across the street from them. It's good and bad.... anyway that's another story. We have most holidays at my parents because our house is too small and my Mom likes to be in charge. But, she just finished her second round of chemo so the plan was that I would make everything and bring it over there. Friday she calls to tell me that she has shingles and not sure about exposing kids to it so we had everything at Grandmas. It was weird but worked out OK.
On top of that DH sings in church and had to be there by 9 and I had made rolls for a family that DH had to deliver beforehand so he was out of the house by 8:15. I had kids, food, kids again, and myself to get ready. I was reminded when we got to church that being on time is actually late when it comes to Easter Service as church was packed.

Anyway, all went fine except the gravy, what's up with gravy anyway, it's so simple yet so difficult! but, ohhhh, I love the salty goodness of ham gravy on mashed potatoes!

Now DH is giving the kids a bath since we played outside all afternoon, and I have some free time to check out the DIS!

I hope you all had as great of a day as we did!! :thumbsup2

I have a question, Ladies. I have about 10lbs still to lose to get to my "prebaby" weight... But even that was 10lbs heavier then the last time! :rolleyes1 So, how have you lost weight? (If you've ever needed to or wanted to). I do pretty good if I have "someone" to hold me accountable... So if you all don't mind I'm going to use you or this board as my "someone." :goodvibes

My goal is lose 15-20lbs. I'm going to start using the treadmill again and get the family to go on walks in the evenings since its finally nice out.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Add me to this list!! I've just been craving junk food and this is soooo bad.

I was just thinking yesterday ... I have 97 days until my next Disney trip. That is more than enough time to drop some weight. And then I can reward myself with new clothes for Disney!!

My biggest weakness is eating snacks at night. I try to eat nothing after 7pm but then my DH will make chips and cheese or eat ice cream and want to sit and talk with me or watch "Idol". And then I just cave....

But yes, I'm trying to get outside and walk everyday -- telling my 4yo that we have to be ready for Disney -- and what's funny is that she is reminding me!!:lmao:

Ditto on the weight loss... except I need to lose about 100lbs.

I am glad the weather here is getting nicer so we can walk outside and play outside and get fresher veggies! YUM!

I'm with yall on the weight loss. I have the wii fit now I just need to use it. I was great for a month or so after I first got it - didn't lose any weight but I did feel better.

I'm with all of you on the weight loss. I have 15 more lbs I want to lose. Hopefully this warm weather will be incentive for me since this winter I wasn't very motivated and my weight loss sort of slowed down. I have lost 45 lbs since last July, lots of working out, a few herbal cleanses to help jump start my weight loss and once I get going I get on a kick.

Add me to this list as well. I am hoping to lose about 40 between now and December. My motivation is the cute clothes that I want to buy. :cool1:

We just joined a gym and I have been able to do a little working out but the kids are in love with the pool area so we are spending more time in there than I had thought we would. I am learning how to exercise while waiting for the kids to jump in the pool so I can catch them. Although, I have to admit that I am really sore today.:ssst: DH wanted to bike the mile or so to the local zoo so we did and now I can't go up and down the stairs. I keep telling myself the pain is worth it. :confused3

Welcome new moms!

We visited my cousin in the hospital today (born yesterday) -- omg, newborns are just sooo cute. My youngest is only 1 year old but it's like you totally forget how small newborns are.

Happy Easter -- and for those of us who are trying to watch our weight -- hide that Easter candy!!:thumbsup2

Happy Monday everyone.

We had a pretty good Easter, a bit unconventional, but it was good. Of course the day started early with their scavenger hunt. The bunny had hidden their baskets in my van. Silly bunny. After that I got moving and Grumpy and I went to get a new grill and the stuff to cook out. Well, noone had any of the smaller grills set up, only the huge ones, so we decided to hold off. Grumpy didn't feel like spending the afternoon setting one up and I didn't blame him. So, we were going to just take a picnic to the park, but I needed to get groceries and so that would have delayed us, so we got the kids ready and headed to Red Robin. We had 2 kids meal free coupons and Grumpy's b-day is coming up so he had a free b-day burger coupon. It was empty (who has Easter Brugers?) Our bill with a $7 tip was only $24 since I got the $6 burger. It was good. After we went to he park and the kids played and we played a racing game to get eggs that had Disney pins inside. They got 50 pins all together to trade in November. Then they traded with each other for a while. Then we went and got ice cream and they played outside and I went to get groceries. It was dead there too. Then the day was over, time for showers and bed for the kids. It was a nice day.

Today I have to tackle my house. It is always such a mess on Mondays. I tend to let things go on the weekends so we can just have fun, and this weekend was no different. So, family room pick up, kitchen and bathroom scrub down and a load or 2 of laundry. Hope everyone has a nice Monday and those of you going to the Egg Roll, have fun!!!

Hi girls!! Another beautiful day here in the Northeast! We have swim class this morning ~ then I am hoping a lot of playing outside and HOPEFULLY a nap. They are few and far between these days though.

I love me a newborn baby!! They are so little and cuddly.

We have a Y membership and ours does have an area where you can drop the kids off so you can work out. I prefer to walk outside though. Wonder if I could drop them and then hit a nature walk. Nah... I don't think they would like that!!

We LOVE Red Robin! How do you get the coupons? We are hoping to stop when we are in the cities on the way to the airport. I cashed in MyPoints for a giftcard to help cut down on traveling expenses so we can spend more $$ at Disney!! :cool1:

happy Monday, everyone!!:surfweb:

If you sign up with them you get a free burger for your b-day, that covered Grumpy, and Ariel and Pluto each got one for a free kids meal at a Halloween Party at the town hall. Wish I had more of them. I don't know how yo uget those.

Good Afternoon!

We had a VERY early morning, since our time slot for the White House Easter Egg Roll was for 7:45... Left the house at 6AM! It was a great time and we even got to see Reese Witherspoon! My first celeb. sighting minus concerts. :rotfl: I do hope we get the chance to do it next year.

Easter Sunday was a great day spent with family. We found out that most of our VA family is heading to visit the FL family Memorial day week... So DH caved and said we can go for a week! So we'll be in FL 5/28-6/5!!!!:cool1:

Hi pixiedustmomma! We are going in December 2011 also! I can't wait to see Disney at Christmas!

Are you going for Christmas? We are going to go the first full week in December. That way the decorations will be up but it won't be as busy. I love Christmas at Disney. My parents took my sister and me twice.

Wow to the egg roll at the White House, that would be a great memory to have! And of course seeing Reece Witherspoon, very cool!:cool1: I just watched Sweet Home Alabama again and she's just hysterical in that movie. Love it!

Well I went today and met with my advisor and registered for Fall semester. I was thinking 3 classes, kinda of working my way up from the 2 I have right now but my advisor thought different (She's also one of my instructors). So I walked out registered for 4 classes because, in her words she "wouldn't suggest it if she didn't think I could handle it"...No pressure right?!!:rotfl2:

I'm going to have to get way more organized before then and have dinner's planned out and maybe made ahead and frozen because I don't want my family to suffer the way they have this semester (again only taking 2 classes!). On a good note we are mailing the remainder of the balance on the vacation house we are renting the week at Disney tomorrow. So that will be all sorted out and we'll just be counting down.:dance3:

We spent Easter with family yesterday and it was unusually drama free and fun which is such a break from the norm and the weather was BEAUTIFUL. Alright check ya'll later!

Hey ladies!! Hope everyone had a good day, I had to work but at least I got to work from home with the windows open so I could enjoy the nice weather. I wish I could work outside but I can't really see the laptop when I do that :rotfl:

Tonight a friend is coming over so we are going to make some t-shirts for Disney (for me) and one for her son's b-day party this weekend. I am using some DISigns and some that I made myself. I have to get going since our trip is just 6 weeks away!!
