Dis Mom's Club?

HI all count me in!!! My name is Robyn and I got engaged and married in WDW in 2004, married in 2006. I took my DH on his first Disney vaca when he was 22 , now he is as big of a nut as I am! I love it! We have a 1 1/2 year old daughter who has been down two times. (and she just got really sick .. throwing up tonight..). We are planning to go down in July and I cant wait!

You are in good company amongst the Disney nuts here! Getting married at WDW must of been AWESOME!:wizard: I think I'd like to do some sort of renewal of vows on our 20th anniversary (this summer is 12), and maybe we could time it during Food & Wine!!:rotfl: Sorry your daughter is sick hope she is better soon!

It's a pretty hard core workout program, hope I can keep up with it :rotfl:

Good luck with P90X, I get sucked into those infomercials and I almost feel like I could do it but then there's all that sweating:laughing: I have neighbors that have done it and they say just to do what you can on your level because there is no way you'll be at the level on the dvd first time through. Make sure and give us all a review so we can live vicariously through your soon to be buffness!:thumbsup2

Getting ready to head out and volunteer in the school library this morning and then back again this afternoon to volunteer in Ben's 1st grade class to help with the AR reading. Have a great one everyone!!!:woohoo:

Good morning(ish) everyone! We just made a Costco run and added two of the Disney Princess activity sets to our end-of-the-month WDW trip stash. We drive to WDW and while Mia's a great car rider, I like the variety of STUFF in these kits: paper dolls, stickers, coloring pages, and stories. DH is so busy booking Disney vacations and this trip will really help with the jonesing I do every time I hear him talking on the phone about someone else's trip or he asks my opinion on their dining plans, LOL!

I also ordered customs from Boutique Ollie Girl! and Zoe Diva Designs and can't wait to photograph Mia in them at WDW. Of course, this means I'm dragging my pro equipment to the World but hey, small price to pay.

Only two hotels on my commercial photography schedule this month which means I get to stay home more - yippee! It also means there's no excuse for not cooking, not cleaning, and not organizing. Boo. DH does a great job keeping up while I'm traveling but it's man clean. I'd rather he spend time with Mia than clean baseboards anyway. ;)

I looked at your website and WOW your work is beautiful!!:lovestruc Next time we vacation in Myrtle Beach I'd love for you to take our pictures! I LOVE the family pics on the beach with everyone in white. I have no obvious artistic talent so I'm always super envious of those that do!:teeth:

Well, I'm a little bummed out we can't get Beach Club or Animal Kingdom for our May trip! :sad1: We either get Old Key West or Saratoga Springs... But we did waitlist Beach Club and hopefully we'll get lucky again and get it!

I'm loving the great weather, but the pollen is causing havoc on my allergies!:headache:

Do any of you have great plans for this weekend? We're either going to just relax at home or have a garage sale. DH leaves for a week on Sunday for some Navy class, so I think it will be a "Family weekend."

I hope you all have a great day! Oh and Welcome to the new members! party:

How do you do a garage sale last minute? You must be super-organized!

Whatever you decided, I hope you have a fun weekend together. :yay:

Good Morning Everyone. I was so busy yesterday I barely got time to record my $0 spending day on the BB. :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to a pretty relaxing weekend. The second Saturday of the month Grumpy and his friends have a game day, so that is this weekend. The girls and I will spend the day together, not sure what we will do yet, but I do know I have to get some Spring tops before our trip next weekend. They don't need anything though so I may go by myself. Sunday is Grumpy's 39th birthday so that will be a family day, no plans yet though. I love weekends like this that are open to do as we please.

Next Saturday Ariel, Pluto and I are taking the train to Michigan to visit my family fr the week. Grumpy has to work and Tink has plans with a club at school for a few days so they aren't going.

Well, I have to get moving. I have Brownies tonight and need to go pick up the supplies for our craft and our Try Its that we are earning before I have to work at noon. Have a good day everyone!

awww, thanks so much! :)

My finger slipped last night and somehow I added two days at Wilderness Lodge, club level, to the beginning of our end-of-April trip at AKLV. Darn, don't you just hate when that happens? LOL! You see, there were no Values available and only POR in the moderate level and WL club level was just a few dollars more than the Poly garden view so what's a girl to do?

Am I too late to join the DIS Mom's Club? How about if I beg?

My name is Melissa and I'm the head Mouseketeer for a family of five kids (!), two dogs, and one DH. We live out in BFE North Carolina, which isn't as bad as it sounds...this is a good area to raise kids. :)

The Tribe, as we call them, is the result of a blended family situation. If you'd told me five years ago that I'd end up as a mother to five kids and two dogs, I'd have laughed in your face. Today, I'll still laugh in your face but only because I'm enjoying this life so much. Things are crazy here - everywhere you look there's either a kid or a dog underfoot - but I wouldn't trade my life for another at this point.

I'm a senior PR manager who gets to telecommute from her home office (love you, boss!) and DH is a stay-at-home dad. It took us awhile to get used to this arrangement but now, it works very well for us and I am actually asking him NOT to go out and get a job. :rotfl:

The Tribe is made up of three girls and two boys, with ages ranging from 6 to 16: Austin (16), Dylan (13), Caelyn (8), Clarissa (8), and Raven (6). Their personalities are as different as the colors of the rainbow. Austin is a rascal who gets into everything, Dylan is our logical child (I swear he's half Vulcan) that likes to analyze every situation, Caelyn is the bossy one - she tries to order ME around (ain't gonna happen!) and likes to "direct" everything, Clarissa is sweet and sunshiny mellow, and Raven...she's got an old soul - a friend told me she's an "indigo" child. I'm not into the new age thing but I'll admit she does have some of the characteristics.

Anyway, I'm a huge Disney fanatic; the rest of the family isn't sure yet. DH doesn't understand my obsession and the kids haven't ever been yet. Our first trip is in June and will be a (gulp!) family reunion of 12. Yes, I'm already getting gray hair from trying to keep all our planning and logistics straight. :)

:wave2: Welcome!
I have seen your compiled "Am i Nuts" list and it is awesome! I'm soooo glad you are back on the DIS!

We have never been to Disney with anyone other than our immediate family. DH & I prefer to have a stress-free (if possible) vacation and adding any of our extended family would drive us crazy!! You are a very Brave Woman!!

:cheer2:

Good morning everyone.. :goodvibes

Well, it's been a hectic week around the house and it will continue well into the weekend. Ugh! Anyway! My son (14) has his Science fair tomorrow and he is moving at turtle speed to finish up his project today. Isn't that always the way, though?

Tomorrow I go in for my OB appointment to see how this new little peanut is doing. We're almost at our 19 week mark so I'm going back one week before being able to learn the gender. I want to know now!! I'm a huge planner and I want to know how to start getting things ready.. Boy or girl! Just tell me. :lmao: My husband wants to talk to our Dr. to find out if there is anyway we can find out tomorrow.. I don't think so, but who knows!

Spring has not sprung here for us yet. The temperatures have been very chilly and we even have seen some snowflakes on and off earlier in the week. Where the heck is spring already?

Anyway! I hope all of you are having a good week and are doing well!

Hi DisDad. That is a great cause we have given to. Our friend's son went there about a year before he passed away. His mom just went pack to see his paver. What a great place for kids, his family had wonderful memories there. It is a charity we happily have given to and will again. Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks much for the welcome; it's much appreciated. I'm glad to be back too - I got so many nice responses, I couldn't help come back after that (albeit a little red-faced after my hissyfit).

To top off the family reunion, I'm considering whether to add a surprise wedding to the mix. Although I refer to Chris as my DH, he's actually my DH2B (dear husband to be). Yep - we're livin' in sin. We were supposed to get married in a formal ceremony this August, but for a variety of reasons (rhymes with "ex-wife"...oh, wait...;) ) it had to be called off. So, long story short - DH is anxious to get me to the altar. Since all his family will be traveling with us, I was thinking about surprising the groom. My parents are both deceased, so it's just his family. I thought surprising both DH and the kids, as well as his family, would be a hoot. I'm just wondering if I can pull it together and pay for it in two months' time. :scared1:

We'll see - I may just have to plan a fairytale wedding for our next Disney trip. ;)

OH YES! This would be so fun! You could look into the Escape weddings or Swan and Dolphin. I've heard Swan and Dolphin are not part of the DFTW but are cheaper and you can still have Disney Magic!:wizard:

Don't be too bummed, if you get OKW we can be resort neighbors since we'll be there that week :rotfl:

DH comes home tonight after a 4 day so we'll have a family day tomorrow, I'm so thankful I can make my own hours at work and do that!

I got my P90X DVD's today and have to take a look at them and the schedule today, I'm a little scared :scared1:

Welcome to all the new moms!

Hi everyone,

I am having a difficult time planning our Disney cruise and no one at work is of any use. None of them understand my very small obsession with Disney and none of them have kids...so when I mentioned a cruise they suggested I leave the kids at home.:scared1: Knowing that would never happened I informed them that that it would be a Disney cruise (duh) So, I knew that I could turn to you girls for advice.

Has anyone been on a Disney cruise? If so, would you recommend the inside stateroom or the ocean view? I have heard that you do not spend that much time in the room but the ocean view looks soooooooooooo nice.

Also, would the recommendation be for the 3 or 4 day?

As some info to help make the decisions my DD will be 6 for the trip and my DS would be 4.

I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Hi Ladies!

It is freezing here this morning! I think we might just stay in today because I don't want to go out in the cold. Plus they said something about snow. Only in Cleveland!

I am wondering how many of you are DVC members?? I'm planning out vacation for 2011 and I don't want to wait that long to find out more about the DVC. I know my mom bought into it but my dad sold it before we had our daughter. I've been on the DVC website but it doesn't give full details about the points and the cost. Does anyone have any good information or a link to where I can find it?

Thank you! :)
