the weirdest craving I had was in my first trimester and it was for root beer. I'm not kidding...I drank one every day, usually IBC. For some reason if I felt at all queasy this worked wonders for me. It tapered off in my second trimester.
With my son I craved anything with a red sauce...pizza, pasta, you name it. With this one its sweets overall.
1st time I craved sauerkraut....don't know why but I was able to eat a whole bowl of it by myself.
This time I'm craving anything sweet like cake, cookies, but since I have gestational diabetes I can't have anything like that. Fortunately I am able to eat my other craving.....buffalo chicken strips from Friendly's. Has to be from Friendly's, no other kind will do. (Maybe they baste them in ice cream first?! )
Watermelon and Tootsie Rolls, but not together. My mom had the weirdest craving I've ever heard about when she was pregnant with me....moth balls! She used to stuff her coat pockets and her pocket book with them. I can only imagine what the people in Boston 55 yrs ago thought.
With the twins it was apples & green popsicles~I had a freezer full of boxes of popsicles wth only the green ones eaten
With last DS it was anything with chili on it...chili dogs, chili fries etc...
Taco Bell is frequently the only food that will help my morning sickness. It's like that right now and when I was pregnant with Jacob. Fortunately, I get my morning sickness in the afternoon, so at least they're open then.
