DIS Ladies--What foods did you crave when you were pregnant?

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts- only the hot ones (original store is only 20 minutes away)
Peanut Butter

Lori

Dunkin Donuts, ate at least 3 a day for nine months! Fortunately I was pregnant during the summer, so I was able to "swim off" most of those calories...otherwise...I shudder to think of how long it would have taken to lose all that "donut weight"!

I think both times...must have been McDonald french fries...in fact, just about EVERYDAY I would have a "double quarter pounder meal......supersized!!!!".......and amazingly only gained 25 pounds with each!

With all 3 of my kids, I had to have KFC cole slaw and Sonic Cherry Limeades.
What a combination!
Sometimes, I tease my DH and ask him to go get these items as " I have to have them!"
He gets a strange look on his face! Just kidding dear!!!!

1st pregnancy - canteloupe & watermelon and it was January & February when I wanted it, Golden Corrall had it so we ate there alot.
2nd pregnancy - TCBY chocolate yogurt w/ Reece's cups, unfortunately that craving has not gone away 4 years later and oh how it loves my hips & butt.

With my first pregnancy I craved butterscotch pudding - but for some reason never ate it. I did eat butterscotch chips, though.

I couldn't stand the sight of red meat with the first kiddo.

With my 2nd son, I had awful IBS symptoms, so I drank alot of ginger ale and ate alot of toast. That was about the only thing that didn't cause more pain. Between the IBS and bronchitis, it was a rougher pregnancy than the first.

With DS I craved Pistachio pudding, Peak Frean cookies, and Roast Beef.
With DD I craved tacos. Couldn't get enough of them, which is weird because I don't really like tacos!

With my first......Taco Bell's tostados, KFC, tomato soup and Orange pop

Second.......mainly crushed ice

Third......no specific food, just back to really craving orange pop!!

I ate tons of ice cream. :o

Same here!!

Also with DD1, Oreos were the only thing that settled my stomach when morning sickness hit. Since I can't stand Oreos normally, I KNEW that baby was DHs (the original Oreo addict)! Not that there was ever any doubt, but that cemented it! LOL

With DD2, other than the ice cream, nothing special. In both cases I think/know it was the baby's way of getting calcium since I do not like to drink milk.

1st DD it was orange soda and chocolate
with 2nd DD it was yogurt blueberry or raspberry
turned out to be a good thing because I got gestational diabetes with 2nd pregnancy

With DS: Mexican food, chocolate donuts, roast beef, watermelon
I still remember DH attempting to hold me back at a spring wedding reception buffet, where they had a tray of delicious watermelon. He knew I could wipe it out in seconds flat. :teeth:'

With DD: Mexican food

With first pregnancy (DD, now 11) all I wanted was mashed potatoes and gravy. I even remember sending DH to KFC for their version a few times.

With second pregnancy (DS, now 9) all I wanted was tuna fish with lots of pickles.

With my first DD it was kiwi fruit and caesar salads. With the second one it was McDonalds regular cheeseburgers and vanilla yogurt. With both I could eat a lot of any type of melon, tried all different kinds because I just loved the taste and texture so much. The think I could not stand being around was the smell of hamburger or backon cooking - it about killed me.

With DS, it was french fries but, only certain french fries. With DD, it was Doritos, by the BAG and, I still don't care for Doritos. :p

All three of my pregnancies were the same. Salt bagels with cream cheese, tuna and strawberries.

Mexican food ... the spicier the better and Dairy Queen strawberry milkshakes. I stopped by DQ every afternoon on my way to work even if it was snowing and -5 below. I still had to have that milkshake!

I ate peanut butter all the time. It was something that some people told me I shouldn't eat, but I wanted it so much and it was one of the only sources of protein I was getting. Dr said it was OK. I even ate it on potato chips when I ran out of cracker and bread.

Anything deep fried I would eat if I could.
