Hi Everyone

I hope that you have all had a good week. With the weather being so nice this weekend, have you dug out your bikinis and bared your wobbly bits to the world (or back garden perhaps !!!) ? :sunny:

I must admit that when the weather is warm I don't eat as much, so I was pleased this morning to have lost 2 lbs (yippee !!) so I now have 1 lb to lose in my final week of dieting to reach my 9 st goal, so fingers crossed

Good luck with your weigh-ins this week

well done mandy :cheer2: ive lost a further 2lb ( over 2 weeks cos i didn't weigh in last week, i now need to loose 7lb but i am loosing motivation fast !! all my small clothes fit now so its getting harder to stay focused :guilty:
good luck everyone :)

I have a had bad week as far as the diet goes but i have enjoyed the week. Friday night i had some choc, Saturday i had lunch out at the Tapas bar in the trafford centre and then a lovely chinese meal in the evening :cheer2: And to cheer me up yesterday i had some more choc :) Its the one thing about being poorly you can eat choc and not feel guilty :rotfl:

So with all that indulgence i am pleased to say i have stayed at 11 1/2 stone :cheer2: This is the first week i havn't lost anything though. Well i'm back to it today so hopefully i will loose something this week :cheer2: Good luck everyone.
Mandy i'm sure you will loose that last 1lb in time for next week :Pinkbounc

Thanks michelle

Can I just ask please - are you all following the same regime or doing your own things? I'm trying to lose weight (though I've got a HUGE amount to lose unlike you all) and am just trying to eat sensibly and exercise more but it shifts SOOOOOO slowly despite having so much to lose - my age no doubt. I think it's a great idea supporting each other like you do.

Hi Di

We all pretty much do our own thing, some people have joined Weight Watchers, but each week we let each other know how much we have lost (and we can congratulate them) or if they haven't done too well we can support them with an encouraging word or two.

If you have any great tips on losing weight (like not eating - LOL :rotfl2: )
then please share, earlier in the year some of the girls were saying how good Snack-a-Jacks were and tips like that.

Well done Michelle for staying the same this week, mind you I think you deserved a little treat after feeling poorly.

... and well done Natalie for the 2 lbs, it's great fitting into smaller clothes again and I have actually bought a size 10 skirt for my holiday, which should fit for about a week after eating all that food on the Disney Wonder.

Keep up the good work everyone

Well done everyone!! Mandy, you know you can do that last pound. Just think of those Bahama Mamas waiting for you........

I will share my weigh in results tomorrow as I'm happily not at work today!

If you remember I was really fed up last week as I'd stayed the same? Well I think it was just one of those "girly" (ahem) moments as I got weighed again (not counting toward my weigh in but just to prove the Monday result was freaky) and I'd lost 2kgs (is that 5ish lbs?) in 3 days so I think my Monday result was just wrong :Pinkbounc

Di I promise you some of us have a lot of weight to lose - me included!! Modesty prevents me from posting the number here but it is significant!

I am just eating a low fat diet - I'm not letting myself get hungry ever, lots of fruit and veggies, and exercise. I do allow myself (low fat) treats too - I know if I don't then I will fall off the bandwagon and eat crisps and chocolate for England!

Would you believe I went to the gym four times last week? I feel like a regular now ;) and I never would have thought I'd say that when I first went in three weeks ago!

Wow Karen that's fantastic - well done!! I noticed your walking to Disney total is making great progress too!!! :cheer2: Thank you for your encouragement - much needed!! Yesterday and Saturday I'd actually put a pound on (I know you're not supposed to weigh every day!!!) and I was really fed up with it but today I've lost 2 lbs!!! I've hated exercise all my life - (would hop in the car to go to the postbox!!!) - but am making a concerted effort and going swimming several times a week (I find it much easier than walking!!!) plus aqua aerobics, line dancing classes etc etc. What a pain - especially as Rhiannon's a size 8 (grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny: )I never was that build sadly - but I'm glad for her!! My mother was tiny too - and then there's me like a butterball in the middle:rotfl2: Ah well - I'll just have to persevere!! I think you're all doing brilliantly - though those whose weight in stones is in single figures should be banned!!!!! :rotfl: Good idea to allow yourself treats - necessary encouragement!!! Thanks for the support!!!

Wow Karen, that will be great if you have lost 5 lbs, I look forward to hearing tomorrow after your Celeb Fit Club weigh-in

I have not weighed myself this week as I have had a chinese takeaway, an indian takeaway, a Big Mac and fries, and 3 large slices of Samantha's birthday cake, not all on the same day I hasten to add!:rotfl2:

Well done to you all, you'll shift that last 1lb Mandy and as for size 10 skirts I would be very very happy just to get into size 12 easily again!:rotfl:

oh dear - I weighed myself this morning and the 3lb I had lost has gone back on. I have to confess that I did have a very good bank holiday weekend but it did involve a lot of drinking and eating!!

I told you I lacked willpower!

Anyway, I shall start again today and hope that I've managed to lose some again by next week.

Well done to everyone else :wave2:

don't worry sarah we all have weeks like that!! just forget it now and stay focused on the week ahead
good luck :grouphug:

I've been sticking around the 180 pound mark now for a couple of weeks, will have to make a serious effort to up the exercise and break through the next barrier, was about 200 pounds in feb so I've lost a bit but I do find that the motivation wears thin as soon as I get to a sticking point, never mind, will keep going would love to be around 150 when I go in Nov but also don't want to aim for unreasonable goals so will be over the moon at 160
good luck to all the pooh sizers :Pinkbounc

I think a few of us have been hit by the Bank Holiday Weekend eating bug !! It's not easy when the kids are off or if your going out to not have some nice treats, like Natalie said, try to put the past week behind you and focus on the week ahead.

It's just as hard when you get to a plateau in your weight, I had this a few months ago and I stayed around the same weight for about a month, I thought I wouldn't lose anymore so I introduced a Keep Fit Video (I wasn't brave enough to join a gym) which I do 3 or 4 times a week and that really helped.

Maybe for added motivation you could buy a new item of clothing that is going to be too tight and see if that will help you lose a bit of weight over the next month or two.

Good Luck everyone, and don't stress out over one week

Don't need to buy any clothes - got a whole heap of stuff in the loft that no longer fits!! It's funny you should say that though - I have a pair of size 10 jeans (old but lovely) hanging on my wardrobe as "motivation". Be nice if I could get them past my thighs at least :rolleyes1

hi sarah
i am in the same boat as you this week i have also put on 3lbs :earseek: it was my youngest sons birthday on saturday so i had a few slices of birthday cake and we also went out for a meal with his freinds and i am ashamed to say it didn't stop there i ate all weekend  so it's back to a strick diet this week and lots of gym sessions :sad2: good luck everyone else :)

eve ::MinnieMo

Well, I had lost 3 1/2 ilbs - not as much as I'd hoped for but better than nothing!

I too have a wardrobe full of clothes sizes from 12 up to - well - a lot more than 12!! And that's all I'm saying!!

When you have a bad week the key is to keep going and just remind yourself of how well you've done so far! So well done everyone, even if you've put a bit of weight on this week!!

Karen thats a great loss :cheer2: keep up the hard work :Pinkbounc

Michelle

I've been trying to lose weight for the past 3 weeks and eventually i've lost 2lbs but i don't seem to be able to shift the weight this week even though i've been doing alot of walking.
