**DIS Girly Weekend 2010** ~ IT'S OVER :(

I'm guessing it won't be hard to find a gaggle of DIS girlies on Friday night in Southampton if I do turn up at the last minute

After reading through the previous TRs this really sounds like my kind of weekend, unfortunately Scotland and Southampton are really too far apart but I'm going to be with you in spirit and will have a couple of cocktails in your honour that weekend

Aimee you will be fine hun. Believe it or not I am very shy......well for the first hour or so anyway! If we get too scared then we can sit in the corner & sample the cocktails together.

For any of you who are based further away, Flybe do reasonably priced flights to Southampton Airport (about £28 each way if you're early enough).

The airport is literally next to its own train station and it's a short ride from there to Southampton Central

I have travelled down from Manchester to Southampton several times recently and if you book in advance you can get a train for as cheap as £20 each way. There are some direct trains which take about 4 hrs and some which change in London - easy to do even though you have to change stations - again about 4 hrs

Unfortunately I cant make it that weekend as it would have been fun to meet you all. I can vouch for the shopping in Southampton though its really good

Sounds good, I'm going to do my best to be there at least for the saturday night. We're not the biggest planners of holidays, so providing Richard doesn't ask me a week before if I want to go on holiday, I'll be there I'll book my room a bit later on though when I can confirm. So pleased it isn't the weekend before school like last year
