Cheri - impressive! 1078 and Richard the Lionhearted! DS still can't explain this stoopid project to me. It does not sound too important tho as it is something the whole school is apparently doing so I am DONE with my contribution! My Grandfather's family has a website in the UK with some neat stuff on it which is really cool. There is an old castle and they have a whole park, sporting & hunting events & an equestrian center. The internet really is something.

Well, perhaps this weekend I will try to figure out this Face Book stuff. I keep getting these emails saying I've been added as a friend by this one & that one...and I haven't opened any of them 'cuz I wasn't sure what to do with them. But DH signed up this week so now I guess it really is time 'eh?!
We'll see. Maybe.

Heck if I know! I think that I may have opened the very first email that I ever got from my first friend who ever sent me one of these emails. Well, I guess you CAN send an email to invite people 'cuz she did. I don't know. I have not opened any more since that first one... sigh...

Well, since DS's bathroom is our hall bath I need to go clean it before my parents arrive this afternoon. Then I move on to the rest of my list (mostly kitchen prep work stuff like cooking the cranberries & chopping celery etc.) I think my parents will be hitting some snow up in the mountains. I hope Dad is up to driving in it.

Well just wanted to pop up and say Happy Thanksgiving to you all. We are headed back to the ranch this afternoon and will be gone until Sunday. I may take a laptop but the coverage there is weird. So in case I don't make it back.

Well, my parents arrived this afternoon right around 1:00. We have been visiting in the kitchen while I chop & devil etc. (Betsy - I made Ma's cranberries again + a cranberry relish with cilantro, lime, garlic & jalapeno's)!! I am so-o freaking slow in the kitchen! Anyway, T-giving dinner is on track for about 3:00 tomorrow! My mom is making dinner right now so I decided to sit for awhile...

Update on BIL's wedding...DH decided NOT to go but MIL had called him on like Monday & asked if she left from one airport and came back to another could he pick her up. Not thinking, he told her yes. After he told me this I told him NO you cannot bcuz you have a Redskins game at 1:00. EVERY DAY this week I told him / reminded him he needed to call her back + he needed to tell her 3:00 for dinner. DID HE?! No. So, she calls awhile ago. I asked about her flights and she says Daryl is picking me up on Sunday. I said "Oh, no he's NOT"! OMG. Is this my place? Really? That I need to make all of their freaking arrangements? Do I need to wipe their butts too? MEANWHILE, she not only booked coming & going from 2 diff. airports but she has to Xfer in Atlanta...and she paid $500. I had found DIRECT flights on United out of Dulles (both ways) for $374 with the taxes. She is insane. I swear it. And DH is not much better. Any bets how she's getting home on Sunday while DH is at his game?!

woo hoo!! DH and I had date night! Gotta love when the kidlet goes to grandmother's!!
We had a gift certificate for Bonefish Grill..I am so stuffed!! Sad..we are in bed already..hazard of working all day and then going to dinner early to beat the crowd..nowhere to go at 8pm
Barnes and Noble even closed at 8pm!! WHAT??!!
Well..we are leaving in the morning to go to mom's..so if I don't get on in the morning..

WE HAVE NEWS!!!

My SIL had a 18", 5lb.13oz. baby boy around 5:00PM today. I am an uncle yet again. Momma and baby are doing just fine. We received a PixMsg of a slimy cute little boy. I know thats how they come. I was hoping that he was gonna wait until the 27th to match someone else's birthday I know but I guess my SIL wanted him out. Oh well. Two birthdays in a row. Gotta love that.

I hope everyone has a great turkey day. I picked up a bunch to cook yesterday, then my mom decides she's going to go ahead and cook today, so all of the food went to her house, and she's preparing it. Tara's over there helping her.

Hey ya'll - happy day after T-giving!

So DH sorta got me up & running on Face Book. Sorta. I really haven't checked it out much....there's always tomorrow!

Who's out doing the Black Friday shopping today? I went out for a little bit (NOT early bird tho). I found a Columbia ski coat for DS 25% off at Sports Authority...but will certainly keep my eyes open for a BETTER deal and will return it if I stumble on something better... Also looked at skis while I was out. I know, I know. DH and I were thinking of looking at the 'el cheapo last years clearance models...figure that they're at least as good as the rental crap...since we bought our boots last year it's not as big of an expense. Sports Authority has a couple pair for about $199 and the Ski Chalet place where we got the boots last year has some Elan's for about $209 pp with their current sale...I don't know anything about that brand tho. The Ski Chalet also has a kids trade-in program (that Sports Authority did not have) trade 'em in & they can get 50% off next time they need new boots, new skis or a new package...so that's kinda of a good idea. I did not look at Dick's or REI tho... We priced the rentals up at Wisp for our trip in January...$36 / day per person...so that's $108 per person for our 3 days. I know we don't ski A LOT but at those prices it would only take a couple of years to get our money out of buying the skis now. THEN whenever we want to go it wouldn't be such a big expense - we'd only need lift tickets each time....So instead of skiing being a $250 day it would be closer to $100. Thinking Santa might leave ski equip. under the tree this year for all of us!
