DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

Drive by.

Dad is here from Wichita. Still mulling over the house decision. Took an offer on this home on Saturday. Not to worry. They only want a 30 day escrow so that doesn't create a time crunch or anything here.

:scared1:

Looks like I will be officially homeless just before Christmas. But no pressure or anything.

I am going to my moms. And maybe just live on the beach in SD. Its warm enough there I think.:confused3

Trying not to think too much about it. But that is rather impossible.

DD is planning a movie date with Grandpa tomorrow. He can't decide between Beverly Hills Chi-wa-wa, Bolt, or Madagascar 2. :rotfl2:

He also wants to check out the new Bass Pro Shops in Lathrop.

Me?? I will be talking to a realtor or two, a builder or two, a school or two, and a moving company. Whew. I am tired already. Better get to bed.

Night all.

:scared1: OH NO Gert!! Good that you got an offer so quickly (are they pre-approved?) but the timing SUCKS!! Can you not ask for 45 days? Isn't 45 more average?! Tell Stymie you must stand your ground!! 30 days at this time of year is ridiculous!

No school out there these days?:confused3 DS only gets 1/2 day on Wed and then Thurs & Fri off. Not much break at all...

He also wants to check out the new Bass Pro Shops in Lathrop.

We ARE cousins!!! Your Dad & my Dad both like Bass Pro Shops!!

Me?? I will be talking to a realtor or two, a builder or two, a school or two, and a moving company. Whew. I am tired already. Better get to bed.

Here is a BEEG hug:grouphug: and some pixie dust pixiedust: Keep us posted!!

Gert!! Tell them you need your last christmas!! (then again, we moved into our house right before christmas because I wanted to be moved into the new house before the holiday)

Yeah for short weeks!!

Short week, I wish! Theres a pitfall of working from home...you never go home, you are always at work. ;)

Yikes, Johnna! Things are moving along quickly. Packing up a whole house in 30 days? :scared1: If anyone can do it, you can! Good luck!

Thanks for the recipe Annie. I printed it out and will have to try it.

Well, today was a total bust. I swear I am the worst manager of time. This morning I paid some bills, filed my Unemployment (called them to ask about this latest extension and they couldn't tell me anything), cut coupons & made my grocery list...then cleaned out the frig.:scared: Oh my! WHAT a mess that was...all this stuff to dump, wash up & recycle...all of a sudden it was almost noon...so I warmed up some leftover soup & ate...then Obama was on TV while I was eating so I got distracted with that... ANYWAY, so I went out to run errands (Target, get gas etc.) and then it got to be late so I ended up skipping the grocery store. It was time for DS to come home so I decided I would just go in the morning...but boy oh boy will I be busy tomorrow!:sad2:

:headache: Helping DS with a project for school...he is so vague! Supposed to find out where his ancestors came from and when... That's like all he can tell me...meanwhile, I have a fairly extensive family history on my Mom's side of the family...it goes all the way back to 1270 - 1292 AD, then for some reason it skips a few hundred years and picks back up in 1568 when Mary Queen of Scots fled Scotland...it starts getting more specific with names & dates in the mid-1600's. Then on my Dad's side I have sort of a family tree that goes back to Fauquier Co., VA in 1775...me thinks there was some inbreeding going on with them.:lmao: I am having trouble figuring out exactly how many generations it is. It's too hard for me to follow with the way it's written...and they like ALL have the same first names (they're all either John, William or Samuel)!:rolleyes1

yeah, what she said.

Johnna, I hope you are able to find something soon. Hmmm...a homeless peep...well, heck, just go live on the ship for a while. They feed you, make up your bed, turn down the bed, wait on you hand and foot. Sounds like a plan to me. :)
Seriously though, I hope you are able to find something that works very quickly.

RJ--won't be long now before he's home!!! WOO HOO for you (and Beano too!)<----lookie, I made a rhyme. I'm a poet and didn't know it. Make a rhyme every time. Each verse gets worse....lololololol Sorry, got carried away.

(hugs) everyone.

Guitar was cool. Trevor had a blast, and it seemed it was over before we knew it. I hope he remains interested, and practices like he is supposed to. He was too darn cute sitting there holding that guitar and playing the practice chords. :)

Annie, I have always hated those school projects that inevitably involve the parents. I remember having to make a cake one year that showed all of the different areas of VA (Piedmont, Tidewater, Mountains, etc.) Had to cut out the shape, decorate and everything. It was a royal pain. Good luck with his.

Now just to figure out what I'm going to cook for Thanksgiving. Haven't had to do that in a LONG time. Sister has separated from her husband (and we usually eat over there) and she's moving day after Thanksgiving...no dinner at her house this year.

Cheri, everyone out there okay?

Beano--don't you have a birthday coming up?

SueEllen - :wizard: for your sister.

It's official. Gert has been overwhelmed into inactivity!!:lmao: Brain is churning too hard...must do nothing...

So today I am getting my hairs cut.:thumbsup2 Oh and going to horseback riding with DD. My Dad is willing to follow Leetle Pirate around the ranch while we ride so that is very, very, cool.

Stymie is back on the "build a house" thing. So Gert is now back to talking to builders. Guess I'm going to coordinate travel and have the builder and designer fly in from MN - really thinking I would much rather just buy a house. Seems WWAAAAYYYY easier.;)

Dad's girly friend is in So Cal this week - she is going to Disneyland tomorrow. Sucker.:rotfl2: :lmao: Now I so wanna take my Dad the first week in December. He has not been there since forever. Seems like a good excuse. And everyone knows you don't go to Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving. :rolleyes1 Silly people from Oklahoma. Her kids who live out here should know better.:sad2: Don't know if I approve of this.:snooty:  :rotfl:

That sounds like fun! Have a good time!

HEY! I like that idea best! You build what YOU want...where you want...and YOU DO NOT SELL YOUR HOUSE NOW AND BE HOMELESS!!:thumbsup2 Get out of that contract Gert!!

I have been searching for a new ski coat for DS. Not finding exactly what I want tho. Kohl's had some on sale 40% off but I want to find one with a zipout fleece lining & lots of pockets (that zip). They had one with the fleece lining but it didn't have pockets that closed - like not even velcro! THAT is a lost glove waiting to happen! The ones they had with the good pockets didn't have zip out linings. Burlington Coat Factory & TJ Maxx & Modell's had no boys ski coats At ALL.:headache: I wonder what JCP or Dick's would have?!:scratchin On sale of course?! Hummmm....

Went to the grocery store this morning.:scared: I guess the damage wasn't TOO bad. $136...I mostly only bought stuff for Thursday (and lots of bread for leftover sandwiches and stuff to make Reuben's tonight).

HEY RJ - you gots your boy back yet?!:goodvibes

pssst! Beano's birthday is Thursday

I made 2 potato casseroles this morning, desserts will be made tomorrow...the rest on Turkey Day!

We pick Bob up tonite from the airport  :woohoo:

Love the new coutndown RJ. ;)

Welcome home Bob!!!:woohoo:

RJ beat me, but I checked the secret list....It seems we have a turkey day birthday among us! ;)

katie - i just saw an LLBean commercial..Wicked Good Slippers...HAHAHAHAH

thankfully, this year, Kate's teachers don't give homework on the weekend..Last year her HORRID math teacher would load her up every Friday..
During the week, she goes to homework club in aftercare..she comes home with it all done!!
well, think of (me and) Babs this weekend as she does a project for health class. Teacher said "don't worry. It will be done in class." Yeah? Then how come she had to write the rough draft last night and must produce the final draft and a hand-drawn picture of the circulatory system by Monday? (vent over.... maybe)

Inbreeding, huh?

dougie had to do a big ancestor project in 7th grade (along with a genetic pedigree :scared1: ). I already knew we decended from Richard the Lionharted (around 1078???). Didn't know we were also from (on the other side) the creator of the Mormon chruch :scared1:  . It was a very interesting project to be sure. Good luck with Jared's.

RJ- please to be posting a picture of one Mr. Bob-ert. He hasn't been anwering Auntie Phyllis on Facebook - need to make sure he hasn't gone and done anything radical like piercing his tongue. (Maybe that was just my college)
