So I called the Activities Coordinator today & she told me to email the teacher who's in charge of the club... They only accept 12 students!
They basically had to write an essay yesterday describing why they wanted to join the club, what kind of movies they're interested in making and tell about a "Wow" moment in their lives.
She said if he takes this initiative to write it up on his own and bring it to her in the morning she will consider him with the other applicants. So "we" just spent I don't know how long working on this. It is so hard to get him to elaborate on the details sometimes!!
I was like you either WANT in or you don't really care and don't ask me for any more favors! I am not impressed with his "wow" moment that he chose to write about but some parts of the rest of it sounded pretty good. So we shall see. I am sure he has some tough competition for these 12 spots!!! I will not hold my breath anyway. As an alternative, I am trying to talk him into the Newspaper Club....I think they take more kids...but that also requires writing a sample article....which he does not want to do yet until he finds out if he makes the other club first. ) He's killin' me!

We've been having homework fights nightly. So far we've lost tv every night and the Friday night sleepover. Not much more I can take away now that Babs doesn't play w/ her Nintendo thingy any more. It's 6:00pm and she still has 4 pages of English to finish. ( 10 math problems, 8 or so punctuation sentences. C'mon! This IS NOT med school! Just do it!!! but I digress.....)LOL, Annie! Mastered may be a bit of a strong word 2 weeks in. Just got back from B2S night...I heard how quiet and sweet Cam is and how hard he works. I think they got the wrong Cameron.

over my old profit sharing acct. from my OLD, OLD job. I left my money there 'cuz I never had a 401K to roll it over to...and a GOOD size chunk of it is invested in the bank. (When I say "the" bank I mean Chevy Chase Bank which Mr. Saul started...so he owns the co. where I used to work AND "the" bank...) I'm gonna loose everything as their Fiscal Year End is Sept. 30! Banks. NOT a good thing to be invested in right now! GRRRR. Oh, and our mortgage is with Washington Mutual...word is they could belly up soon too...then I gotta watch to see if our RE taxes get paid out of the escrow funds if that happens. (1/2 due by 9/30 and 1/2 by 12/30). WhooHoo! First time all season!
