Gotta agree with that! ::yes:: Same thing for onions...unless if they are on a burger. Then I can eat them raw.

Welcome back TRM!

Thank you!

Ophie :thumbsup2 Cooked tomatoes are OK. If'n you don't know you are eating them. In...say...chili. Brain is thinking "I am eating chili - yummy beans and meat in a delightfully spicy red sauce". Brain is definitely NOT thinking "tomato". blech

Onion however - not cooked or raw. Unless its in an onion ring. Then that is OK unless you bite into it and the fried crunchy goodness slides off the onion and then the onion is just hanging there. Nope. Then have to throw that failure away and eat the next one!:lmao:

Avocados!? Only in guacamole.

Yep I am weird that way.:lmao: :3dglasses

OK off to bed - been researching dead people. Found a whole group of them in Tioga County PA. And Mom thought they were from NJ!? No wonder it took me forever!!

Very tired now. Must go to bed.

Oh and Ophie - I distinctly remember posting 15K or less. 1/2 marathon - :lmao: who are you kidding. Remember - I am turning 40 this year oh great young one.;) That 3 extra miles might kill me!:faint: And then you will have that on your conscience. Just trying to save your eternity.:lmao:

Yes, yes, I know - TRM just go to bed.

My position as "Harry-Potter-Nerd-in-Chief" has been challenged by the new intern at work!

I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that he would even think of such a thing!

i smell a smack down....

or at least hours devoted to "Why He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is the George Bush to Harry's Al Gore"

Grrrrrr:headache: Home early from first night at swim team (evaluations). DS would not stay in the water!! Too cold he said. He swam across only like 3 times. Refused to get back in. Started crying. Told him to "man up". Nothing doing. Nope. Not him. :furious: I kept telling him the other 30 or so kids were also COLD but they stayed in the water and kept moving. He kept getting out. Well, so it was only 68 degrees and breezy. So, ummm, yeah, you're gonna get cold(er) doing that. He WOULD NOT listen to me or any of the coaches. So we left. He had been sitting there in the fetal position for about 30 min. and I could not watch it any more. The other kids did it. Why is mine such a wussy?:confused3 It WAS cold. But he was the only one to refuse to get in. Called DH & had him try to talk to him. Still, nothing. Tomorrow night I am making DH go too. These are the evaluation nights. He HAS TO SWIM to be evaluated and this stooopid freaking water is NOT going to warm up for 2 or 3 weeks yet. GRRRRR again, I say.

Oh Annie, I feel your pain! Colton did the same thing to me a couple years ago when I had him in swimming lessons. The first week or so he did fine, then refused to get in the water after that (it was indoors so not cold). I still havent quite figured out what the issue was. But I know how you feel....were you ready to push him in the stoopid pool? ::yes::

We just got back from the first meeting at the Middle School. God help me! :scared1:  :hyper: :faint:

Whatcha doing it for?? fun....project or ?? :confused3

Inherited the "box" from Grandma - just started working on it with my mom. Interesting stuff. Amazing how much my Grandma found without the internet!:scared1: Without the internet....where would we be!?

Stop this excessive counting!!

And no - no WV connection yet but still working on it!!

Stop it! Stop it I say!

 THE NERVE!! And an intern no less.:sad2: Does he not understand who holds his pathetic little intern life in her hands!?:hyper:

Wanted to push him in and hold him under was more like it!!:bitelip: It WAS cold. I stuck my foot in on Tues. nite at registration. But it's frustrating 'cuz he was the only one whining about it and he just completed 16 weeks of the clinic at the indoor pool. They didn't work on the turns or diving so much but they DID improve his strokes and he's got the breathing down pretty good now. He was one of the fastest ones in the group too - so I think he can do well at this with more practice...but he also has no meat on his bones - another reason why he's so cold. He's like a skeleton wearing skin. GRRRR. If he just would've STAYED IN THE WATER....:(

I don't think think we have any more meetings at the middle school. There was one in like Feb. or something. They don't even do a summer orientation here any more. They used to have a day in August or something where they picked 'em up on the bus & had like a dry run. Tour of the school...get the schedule...meet the teachers, whatever. Apparently the attendance was poor so they stopped doing it. They just GO on their first day. They sent us a bunch of medical forms to fill out (us and the pediatrician) for pre-enrollment stuff. We had a dentist appt. last week so I got that one done and we have another "med check" on Friday so I will drop those forms off to get completed. May as well get it all done early. No need to wait.

Just 8 days until I take the train to oldest daughter's house for oldest granddaughter's wedding. When I come home June 28, it will only be 3 weeks until cruise with old friends and hoping to meet all you new ones.

Well... we can't really hold "HP Smack Down 2008" at the office. Sorta unprofessional, you know...

Maybe outside in the parking lot.

In the shade though... it's flippin' hot!
