Well, I spent all morning going thru the job sites and a doz. or so other websites & didn't find much in the way of jobs. Did a little cleaning and then I sat outside for an hour. We actually hit the low 80's today!! An hour here...an hour there and I finally have some color!! NOW I need to turn over and get my backside sometime! I HATE laying on my stomach!! Guess it's time to get some polish on these toenails too now 'eh?!

I finally took some time to download some ringtones for my new cell phone today...got the Mickey Mouse March for when home calls me...Pirates of the Caribbean for DH's ring and The Black Pearl song for everybody else calling. Now to figure out how to use this wireless headset thing. I'm a little stumped with that.

Now I need to go back outside & futz with the pond for a bit. I still got a leak in the waterfall and my filter needs cleaned...

Great job, Betsy!!!! I'm just hoping I get to say I hit the 10 lb mark some time in the next year. And thats not even my goal. WHY is losing weight so hard? Oh I know...Betsy keeps sending it all to me. Enough already!

Good luck with the pond, Annie. We actually made it up to the high 70s today...it was beautiful! Cooling off for the weekend, but at least tomorrow looks dry for soccer. Monday night's game is another story.

Annie - what exactly does "futz" mean??

Ummmm...just another way to say "mess around with" or "screw with" or "work on" or "tinker with" or "toodle around with" My OTHER leak from the falls part seems to be doing OK but this other problem was with the reservoir. DH helped me a little tonight...see the waterfall has a reservoir which in my case is this fiberglass pan sort of thing with a lip that juts out one side to create the the start of the falls. I have a pre-filter (this is the small one that needs cleaned all the time) which goes to the pump which then goes to another filter which is a big pressurized thing that's in a hole in the ground and then that connects to the back of the waterfall and this is how the water circluates from one end of the pond to the other.

Anyway, so this pan was no longer sitting exactly level so water has been spilling / leaking out slowly over one side, but not where you could SEE it. I have 2 really large flatish rocks (fieldstone) that sit on the top of this pan to hide / cover / disguise it. They're seriously like 20 or 30 Lbs each. Then I fill in around the sides / gaps with smaller ones. Anyway, so we took these big rocks off the top and switched one out with another rock and finally seemed to get it more balanced. It was only off by about 1/4" or so but that was enough for me to lose about an inch of water per week from the pond!! Having to refill it all the time creates more work trying to keep the water balanced etc. It's been doing pretty good. I checked the PH & stuff like 3 times this week and it seems to be balancing. I only had to add some "PH UP" like once. It's always hard to get the water just right after I do a cleaning & water change. It's like a homemade 300 gallon fish tank!

So anyway, for me, "futzing" with the pond means cleaning the filters and adjusting & arranging rocks! (Now, isn't everybody glad she asked?!)

I am just one day late with my answer. I didn't check the disboard last night but my favorite Disney character would have to be Flower from Bambi. That came out when I was a child way back when......They re-released it the year Charles and I got married. My mother-in-law was a push over for "sweet sentimental" movies so she and I went to see it. We both cried when Bambi's mother was killed. I think I would cry again. Flower was so cute when Bambi called him that.

My bosses wife bought me a really nice Weight Watchers glass scale yesterday...really nice...I especially love that it was exactly the same weight as I was yesterday at Publix!!

and this morning..somehow it shows I lost 5 lbs in the night!!! (i know...water..when I weighted at publix yesterday, I had eaten breakfast, coffee and alot of water...this morning..I weighted before I did anything....)

so let's go with 169.0!!!!!!!!
