Oreichette pasta :cloud9: ...my personal fav!! :thumbsup2

could someone please pass the Boursin! :woohoo:
OMG! Can I just say... OMG!!! Love love love the pasta. And you can have the bread if you gimmie the cream. Gimmie gimmie gimmie. Oh. Please?

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I will be signing off shortly (OMGOMGOMG!).

Those Palo pics....Ohhh, Im hungry!

Cam had to pick whether he takes French or Spanish in middle school. I had to fight with him to sign up for Spanish. Why he wanted French is beyond me, but I cant help him with that at all. I told him how when we were in Mazatlan, I knew which bathroom to use because it said Damas and I had learned that in Spanish class....see Spanish is very important. :lmao:

Ok, have a great week, my peeps! Get CA warmed up for me, those of you out there. :yay: :woohoo: :cool1:
Katie, DS wants to take French puisque le Français est beaucoup plus frais que l'Espagnol :rotfl: *

*it means French is may more cool than Spanish - and once you speak either you can figure out the important stuff like "bathroom" - same root language ya' know. Sheesh you parent types are so difficult!

Annie? what is this upgrading you speak of?? Secret Verandah room?? These would be in which category?? I am guessing those of us that decided after way toooooo long to add another family member and now number 4 are out of luck yes?? I think I have to go all the way to category 6 for a verandah.

TRM - don't you worry your pretty little head! We won't be upgrading anything 'cuz there will be no DCL sales!! :rotfl: Anyway, the "secret verandah" rooms are former Cat. 6 rooms with the clear plexiglass balconies - they are aft and there are 2 on deck 6 and 2 on deck 7. At some point in life they were re-classified as Cat. 7's because of the curvature of the ship - the back part of the balcony has a bit of wall over it - but not much! Anyway, they are actually just in front of the regular Cat. 7's...or I guess you could say they are at the back end of the Cat. 6's?!:lmao: (see pics at castawaycay dot com) ANYWAY, I THINK but am not 100% that these rooms only sleep 3. But now since baby pirate Linden is only going to be turning 1 do you have to book a room that technically sleeps 4? I mean, she's gonna be in a pack & play and she's NOT going to fit in a life vest if we need them!? I know they use the lifevest thing as a requirement but Hummm...:confused3 It seems to me that you should be OK in a room that sleeps 3 (technically). OK, # 6134 & # 7120 both look to be open on the 4 day.......DCL site is running very slow today! Too annoying to check more right now.

We have never done Palo at all. I thought they said they only do the brunch on the sea day on the 4 day? We have no sea days! So will they HAVE a brunch?! I know we are planning dinner there once for sure! Already bought a dress on clearance MONTHS ago! Yesiree Bob. Is brunch more casual there or would we still need to dress up?

I don't know when DS can select a language. I didn't see anything about it for 6th grade. I'm guessing that must be for 7th or 8th? I took French in high school...it was the ONLY language offered at my school. There was no choice. Went to France with the French class! OMG. THAT was trouble! A bunch of red neck hick hillbilly teenagers loose in Paris over spring break!! OMG...... I can definitely say I have memories that I will never, ever forget!!! Clear as bell they are. Even 29 years later!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Hint - we stayed in college dorms at L'Ecole Centrale on the outskirts of Paris and not ALL of the boys had gone home for spring break!? (I can't remember my french enough now to know if I'm even spelling that right or not - but one of those boys came to the good 'ole USA to work in the early 80's! :rotfl: I am so glad I don't have a girl!!:rotfl2:

Annie,
Email me at SueEllen@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com with your Dreams ID and I'll check the pricing and information for you to see how much more it would be (and if they are available.)

DO NOT TORMENT me with the Stollen bread and berries. That's one of my favorite things at brunch. I found out that they also have it at Goofy's Galley (without the cream and berries) but they have it nonetheless.

Sue Ellen

Johnna - are you on the 3 day sailing?

Not at the present time.:sad1:

CamColt - have a great time!!

Pssst! We have to kidnap her to go on this one!

hmmm...kidnapping on the high seas.:thumbsup2

I don't think it's her we need to kidnap. We'll need someone to hog tie Neil.

:lmao: I might be convinced to pack the rope!!

I think - and SueEllen - check this for me. Despite the fact Linden will not be using a "bed" we still have to count her as a whole person. So I do need a stateroom for 4. I wanted to book at Cat. 7 - but I wasn't able to do so.

But I will wait for a "DCL sale":thumbsup2 SueEllen - if they release FL resident rates can Betsy or Tim book for me if I pay the bill!!:rotfl: :confused3 Then I could add the 3 day.:thumbsup2 Seriously, if the rates change let me know also. Neil has a conference he is attending that is why we cannot, at this time, do the extra 3 days. But - The girls and I could stay!:rolleyes1 Oh wait already booked airfare.:headache:

Drove over to Chipotle after taking car to Volvo and picking up loaner. Got me a sweet 2008 fully loaded Volvo wagon!:thumbsup2 Tried me a pollo asada burrito. Pretty yummy. Now I can say I have been to the goat store!:yay: Did not care for all of the cilantro in the rice though. Me no likey cilantro but there is no way for them to take it out. Unless of course you ask for no rice, which I did not think of until it was too late.:3dglasses

OK off to supervise homework and apparently we have a request for a wedged apple. Then I think I might go cruise around town in my sweet station wagon!!

 THANK YOU for trying out Sue Ellen & mines fav. hot spot!! Sorry to hear you don't like Cilantro! That is like my most fav. spice! If something on a menu or in a recipe calls for cilantro I'm ALL OVER IT!! I tried to grow it a couple times but it didn't do so well.:confused3 I put it in a LOT of stuff...if you ever go again try one of the bowls!:thumbsup2 Just ask them to go LIGHT on the rice maybe?! YUUMMM!:lovestruc SueEllen - we almost have a peep convert!:rotfl2:

Need to go start heating leftovers (made a double size batch of beef stroganoff on Sun.).

Thanks, SueEllen - I will try to dig that out later tonight!:thumbsup2

Those pictures of all this food really are torment!! Esp. to a Palo newbie like me!:rotfl:

They're calling for a wintry mix already up this way for Sat.! Hope it doesn't get too bad for your "excursion" up this way!!:scared:

um, 'cuse me, but without the whipped cream, what exactly is the point? I've always wondered if they'd mind if I just helped myself to the big ol' bowl and hid in the corner. Hey, I'd use a spoon! OMG fresh real whipped cream :cloud9:

I know you'll probably hate me for this. Maybe I'll try and make it a highlighter thing so only those interested can see. It's from Wikipedia re: barbacoa.
In the U.S., barbacoa is often prepared with parts from the head of a cow, such as the cheeks. In northern Mexico, barbacoa is also sometimes made with the head of a cow, but more often it is prepared with goat meat or cabrito

Meanie!! BUT here on the RIGHT coast, most eateries refer to Barbacoa as their beef choice.... :P We have an Arby's here with a 'mexican' counter area that they refer to as Barbacoa as well.

That's okay, whatever it's called, at Chipotle it's GOOD!!!

Cheri, that fresh whipped cream is to die for! I can eat the Stollen bread with or without the berries and cream (although I prefer WITH)

I had mentioned before about all of us doing a Palo brunch on the 4 night--did we want to schedule something? Also, is there any particular night that any of you might want to eat at Palo together?
I'm happy to try to work on this, but I need to know who wants to participate and when.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I agree - I don't care WHAT it is (and I think if you TRIED it you would agree with SE and I that it's just shredded beef) but it's VERY GOOD! But hey, I also eat hotdogs, balongna & snails (disguised as escargot) and since I'm from WV have also had catfish, squirrel, deer, bear & boar!!!:rotfl: I'll take the barbacoa over the bear & boar ANY DAY!!:scared: \

We're trying dinner solo on night 2 at some point... a group brunch at Palo sounds like a fair maybe...for us would have to be a CC day...but so maybe - depends if it's even available...:goodvibes Can we find out about it?

:woohoo: Palo Brunch! :thumbsup2

SE: yes I think we would like to book one on the 4 day....plus we need the "big" room for the Friday night of the 3 day

:rolleyes1 someone I know is renewing vows that day! :cloud9: ;)

I am in for Palo Brunch...I think...

We had kinda decided not to do Palo for dinner this cruise. We had a really good reason why but right now it eludes me. No coffee yet.

Oh right Kate. Do love the hair. I too think she is kinda crazy. Don't watch the show but have cruised by it. She seems mean to her DH at the times I have watched.??

Ok have to get busy now.
