DIS Divas Trip! (old thread, see first post for link to new one)

Good morning, ladies!

He was only about 15 months old when we first met Beth! January's daughter was about that age too! Crazyness I tell you!

I was thinking he was between a year to a year and a half. It is crazy.

Tina ( from Texas) up until yesterday was not disabled. But has temporarily joins the wheelie group. She broke both ankles Yesterday. Plenty of time to heal we all hope.

Oh my..I have really fallen behind..that's what I get for only checking FB !

Not much to report outside of confirming our hotel choices for BOTH trips( see tickers)..no more second guessing or changing minds..that's it..

Now to have these next few work months fly by.

Can't really complain - work is steady and busy - I have Memorial Day off for a small weekend and I've been cooking up a storm.

Morning ladies! Off to DL today for MouseAdventure!! Kandace got in last night, myself, Becci, Cynthia, Jane & Tina all arrive at various times today. Stacie, Vicki, Heather, Stacie's DD and friends all arrive tomorrow. MA is on Sunday - we will actually have 4 Diva teams this time with Mary Jo & Chris, our local Divas, rounding out the fun!

All I can say is I am soooooo happy the temperatures are predicated to be 73-77. Last Sept MA, the temp was 95!! It was not fun!

Welcome! The first page of this thread will be constantly updated with all the information needed on where parties, hunts, meals, etc. will be so always go to that first. Most of that information has not been announced yet - usually during the summer & fall.

This year, most Divas are staying at the Grand. There is a lot of information on that on the FB thread (any money talk is done there). If you search for me, Bridget Russell Pooley, and send me a friend request, I will add you to the group. And yes, the FB page is much more active this time than in the past! But Beth will always keep the first page updated.

Mine is the day before yours. the 6th. Smack dab in the middle of the 4th weekend. LOL And this year is that milestone year that starts with "5". LOL

My dad's is the 6th. Lol. Also DBF's is the 3rd. So many July birthdays.

And did I notice.. scavy theme to be announced? Ooooo guess I better keep checking in for some hints. And meet and greet theme?? When when.. when will all be revealed? I love planning in advance, keeping my eye out for possible gift exchange items.

I bought a lime green shirt - woohoo!

an orange shirt (okay it's more peach/coral)

Finding short sleeve tops in February is impossible in the land of 10,000 frozen lakes. So when I find the colors I need.. I snap those puppies up!
I had to replace a big chunk of my spring/summer wardrobe, weeded out everything that is way big on me now.. yay!! And on to a new still-evolving style to make me feel cutesy happy. Embrace my curvy self and flaunt my assets which includes that middle age spread in the rear and the belly pudge. Nope, not a huge weight loss. Just a little less of me around the middle and to stop hiding behind the frumpy clothes.

Alison made our ressie today!! 9 months, sounds sooo soo far away. Sigh. At least now I can enjoy the outside again. We skipped spring and went from winter to summer, to winter to summer .. again. Loving the green leaves unfurling and our grass is already over due for mowing. The lawn service didn't show up as scheduled. All I see out of my window is a jungle of tall dandelions about to go to seed. AHHHHHHH-cho! Allergies, ugh. (Better than SNOW!)

So we are back from our last planned family trip to DL with our APs and it was amazing as well as stressful at time…lol! Of course, traveling with a 3 year old can have that affect on you!

I think our family is Disney’d out for awhile – we will consider going again when our little one is 40 inches or taller so he can do more but with being in WDW in March then DL in May its been an amazing time but we need to have a change. When we landed from our WDW trip we only had 40 days until we were off again to DL….abit too close but our APs expired and we did want one more trip.

I am looking forward to the DIS DIVA trip since I am pretty sure that will be the next time I am in DL ~ esp hanging out with people who meet all height requirements…lol!

Well I just wanted to check in and say “HI” to everyone – it’s a long weekend for us CDNs – I know the long weekend is coming up for our USA friends – ENJOY!

Hello, ladies! Happy Monday.
I just realized my kids only have 11 days of school left!!!! There is no school this Friday for teacher's development day, and of course Monday is Memorial Day. Then, they get out June 5. Gosh, time is flying by so fast!!!
A week after school let's out, Adam will be graduating. An end of one chapter of his life. It's all so bitter sweet. (sigh)

Anyway. I hope you all have a good start to your week! TTYL!

I to DL with my DD12 two thursdays ago, and the little bugger is not very Disney-ish anymore. We had a great mom/daughter day, but she was more than ready to head home by 3. By 3???? Thank goodness I have you ladies to play with at DL for the rest of my life. My kid is failing me.

I would go today to DL if I did not have other responsibilities. I guess my maturity level is in question.

Anyone have wonderful plans for the Memorial day weekend? I work all day Saturday, so puts a bit of a pinch on any travel type plans. San Diego will be lousy with tourists, so local stuff will be not on the list.

Anyone have wonderful plans for the Memorial day weekend? I work all day Saturday, so puts a bit of a pinch on any travel type plans. San Diego will be lousy with tourists, so local stuff will be not on the list.

No plans here. The kids have a four day weekend, but we won't be going anywhere. Our family vacation is getting closer and we need to be saving for that. And Adam's graduation, too!
The Strip will be lousy with tourists as well so we will be staying far away from there.

Today was just..insane at the dealership and I worked 11 hours..ugh. But at least I have Memorial Day off..

I also decided that I just can't have enough DL trips in one year so I'm back on boards trying to make the Diva trip..even with the WDW trip in the first week of March..I'm crazy but in a good way..right ?

My DH is behind me and thinks it would be good for me..and probably for HIS sanity too ! So that said I am going to try and make it..probably going to be looking for a roommate so I'll try to be more active and involved again. Wheeee !

We are having family fun weekend this memorial day weekend but my husband is planning it so who knows what we will be doing! We do have a family photo shoot on Saturday so hopefully it will be decent weather as it is outside! As this is the Pacific Northwest the chances aren't good but here's hoping!

I'm a bit disney'd out myself. I went in April but didn't last very long, I wasn't feeling the heat or the crowds.

I'm just spoiled, I guess. I mean, how do you expect me to deal with driving to get there, crowds and stuff when I used to live 2 blocks away! I know many of you live a lot farther than I do but now I understand how hard it must have been for my dad to drive us to and from DL after a full day of walking in the sun. Tiring!

I probably won't renew my AP in August, so I'd buy a two day parkhopper instead. If my sister were here, she could have gotten me a discounted parkhopper since she has the military spouse ID. Boo! But my BIL's discount will save us a ton when we go to WDW next year.
