Everyone is probably dying to know what actually went on the first night in Calcutta. Well, sleep wasn't high on the to do list it seemed. In reality, we had every intention of getting back from the party, cleaning up, getting into bed, and going right to sleep. Somehow that didn't go as planned.
Sure we got back from the party. And yes we all cleaned up. Oh, and we all go into our beds. Yet, for some reason, sleep didn't come till the wee hours of the morning.
We all had our own luggage/stuff areas that we went to right when we got in. Shout outs for night showerers went on. And the calling of beds did too. Steph agreed to sleep on the roll away. She said that she slept in worst and such. Amy and Deb took the bed closest to the slider, while Cristabel and I took the one closer to the door.
Instead of just doing what had to be done then going to bed, we started up with our crafts. Not like we planned to do that or anything. But some of us still hadn't gotten our iron on done yet. Amy Sue offered to help. So out came the iron and the board. While that was going on, a few of us started to string together necklaces and stuff for our lanyards. If anyone walked by our room and peeked in, they would have thought it was a small sweatshop.
Once craft time was over and we were sleepy, we all climbed into our beds, shut off the tv and had lights out. We all snuggled in and got ready for a good nights sleep. But that didn't happen. Somehow we started talking and got the giggles. These weren't just regular giggles either. These were the can't catch your breathe type.
How long did this go on for? 15 mins? 30 mins? a hour? Nope, much longer. I don't think we all finally settled down till almost 2 in the morning. Who knew we had that much to talk about, and laugh about. All the while our precious beauty sleep was going by the wayside.
Next up.....who do I need to slaughter???

Who do I need to slaughter???? Yep, those are the first words I hear from my roomies mouth. Note to self, Amy Sue does not like that alarm so early in the morning. Even though she didn't like it last year either, Ithought for sure she would have grown to love it by this year. Guess not.
For being so many in the room, you would have thought that maybe we would be slow moving, unorganized or just plain running late. Nope, not us. We are a group that has it going on. And plus we said who ever isn't ready to leave by a specific time, will get left behind. No questions.
We all got ready in record time, got our stuff together, put our tiaras on, and headed out the door. We walked with purpose from our room, all the way down Main St. But that is where we stopped. Still had time until rope drop. While waiting, we found a few others in line. So we all kinda made our way into one big group.

Once rope drop went, so did we. All made our way straight to Peter Pan. And yes, we walked with purpose.
Right after Peter Pan, we all made our way to Alice in Wonderland. Most got on and off this ride without issue. For some reason, the catepillar that my group was riding in had some problems getting up the hill at the start. It didn't seem like it was going to make it. The poor thing was dying. Could it be the fact that there were four healthy adults in it? Maybe. But I want to go with something else.
After Alice, we decided that Dumbo would be a good idea to ride next. I can't tell you when the last time I rode Dumbo was. But it was a lot of fun. Especially since the Diva group took up every elephant.
