DIS/DIS Unplugged 12/13/08 Mousefest Event Sign-Up Page Info

Yes, I am going solo. It will be nice to put some faces to names. I got to meet a few people during the Aug 31 Dole Whip for Bob meet. I am looking forward to meeting many more. It would be fun to meet up with a couple of other solo travelers to do some of the mousefest activities. I haven't yet decided what I want to do other than the Mega Mouse Meet on Saturday and of course hopefully the TSM event.

I'm going solo too and will be at ASMu from the 12th - 14th. See you guys there.

Thank you for the post John!... and thanks to you and the rest of the team for putting this together for all of us crazed stalkers! :lmao:

I had the pleasure of attending the first of the meets last December and am excited to possibly attend this year's as well.

...and to piggyback on your suggestion that everyone register for MouseFest...

I did so last year and it was well worth it even though all I did was attend the MegaMouse Meet. You receive a great lanyard w/ a MouseFest nametag, an extremely helpful guide, a pin, and early entry into the MegaMouse Meet!!

I was one of the geeks that registered on the first day! :cool2:

Now I just have to wait 84 hours to sign up!

Looks like I will be up at 1am for this!!!:scared1: :woohoo:

Only trouble is we are away and we may have trouble getting internet access!!:sad2:

But I will do it...somehow!:wizard:

Hi John,

Does this apply for a 1-year-old also? Even DIsney considers him "free".

Very excited!!!

K

Yes, Disney is charging us the same price for everyone regardless of age so we need one sign-up for each person.

Even if the child is one day old Disney will charge us the same price so they have to be registered.

I wonder if we can get friends in the US to do it for us.........:confused3 :rolleyes1

That seems a bit mean really. Whilst we love Disney they do make some strange decisions.

John, i just wanted to say how amazing i think you guys are for doing this.

I know there are so many less expensive, less difficult things you could do for your clients (or nothing at all for that matter), this is going so far beyond the expected it's absolutely incredible to me.

Anyway, of course i won't be attending, though i'll be thinking about you all from the other side of the world.

Just couldn't stop myself from saying 'well done'!!!

Question. .like there isn't enough of them out there.. It sounds like we have to fill out a form for all members of our party, My question is I have a 5 year old with no email address (yet)..;) Does every member of your party have to have an email addres to sign up, and for the little ones do we need to sign them up at all.:confused3 Thanks you guys for putting this together and making everyone get even more excitied about going to WDW, and to mousefest.

You will be required to fill out one form for each person in your party. You will need to list yourself as the lead name

(and your email address as the contact) for each person you are bringing.

Again, you will need to fill out a separate form for each person in your party. This will make more sense once you see the actual form.

No and yes :thumbsup2

Children do not need their own email address. They can use yours.

Everyone attending must sign up using the online form

WOW! I cannot wait. I really hope to get to attend this meet! This is just unbelieveable! Thank you to the DIS!

But here I go....:headache: Sorry.

1) Are DIS couples (two people who want to go, each having his/her own DIS screen name) better off logging on to submit separate forms or should one fill out the form with a "plus one guest" for the other DISer? Obviously we want to go together but avoid the "Duplicate Submission of Death" rule, so I would guess the "plus one guest" would be better, right?

2) I noticed the post time clock is "slow" by about 20-30 minutes tonight. Will this affect the time of sign up at all?

Name your chocolatey treat...I'm good for it... :teeth:

It doesn't really matter - but it probably will be easier for everyone if you use your name/email address as the lead name and fill out your spouse as the guest.

You still need one form for each person - if you write 'plus one guest' on the form that guest will not be signed up - only you.

It will be based on the time on the server which is set to the correct time. Posts are different and the boards are on a different server than where the form will be posted.

I have been on the Dis Boards numerous times (and one Board is still active) from several Disney Cruises and meets on these cruises with other Dis'ers but this is the FIRST time I have ever heard of a meet in the Park!:dance3:

My reservations were made with DreamsUnlimited and we were offered the registration and registered. It is myself, my son, daughter-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. This meet could not have worked out better! This is the first time I have not had Park Hopper passes and it just so happens we are in Disney Hollywood Studios that day!:smickey: We have been going to Disney in December practically every year. IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER THAN DISNEY IN DECEMBER?????????:santa: :mickeyjum ::MickeyMo :mickeybar

We live in South Jersey and have lots of Dis Friends who we have had for many years. They are so much more than just friends. Some of which we have visited and hope they will visit us. I am planning a retirement in Cape Coral, Florida, but am not at that age yet!

I will try to keep active until we leave on December 10th.

Can't wait to meet up with everyone! Are we doing lime green ribbons?

Hope you all have a Whimsical Wednesday. Toodles, Jeanne alias Disney Dudette Two :genie: :earsgirl: ::MinnieMo

Welcome Jeanne. This is going to be a blast. I will have a lime green Mickey head, compliments of Home Depot of course. ;) See you there.

Kim

Jeanne, We're from South Jersey too, leaving on 12/10. Maybe we'll see you at the airport! 42 days to go!!! :woohoo:

I am a dork when it comes to many things, including time. I noticed that the Meet's sign-up page says it will go live at 9:00 PM EST. However, in the initial post here John said 9:00 PM Eastern Time. That's contradictory since in the US we are on Daylight Saving Time (Saving without an "s"--I'm a dork about that, too) until November 2 this year. I assume he means 9:00 PM EDT (GMT -04:00), right? That's when I am planning to hit the web site.

Thank you to Dreams Unlimited for putting this on; it is a genius promotional event and an excellent service to its clients and to other Disney fans.

Like many others, I'll be at the All Stars and was already planning to enjoy the Studios Saturday night. The timing, venue, and season could not be better.

now this whole daylight savings time has me confused, i was going to get on at 9 will i be to early? to late? right on time?
