I guess since no one else signed up to host this week, I will host again. Hoepfully those without pictures, can play along this week.

Your Challenge
For this week the challenge is going to be to make-over a previous Disney layout. I think most of us have at least one layout that we did that maybe we liked when we did it, but it could use an update.

Requirements/Rules
1. Find an old layout that you want to make-over.
2. You must use the same photos, but everything else should be different.
3. You need to post both the "Before" and "After" layouts so we can see the transformation.
4. It must be Disney related.

Prize Info:
Want to know what your playing for? This week the two layouts with the biggest transformations will each win a $5 gift certificate to Britt-ish Designs' store at ScrapMatters!!!

Deadline:
You have until midnight (ET) on Tuesday, December 30, 2008.

Have fun! I can't wait to see the make-overs! :)

Thanks Melissa! Sounds fun! I know I have a ton of LO's I'd love to redo. I have to get crackin' on this one before X-mas arrives! Thanks again, and by the way, I loved your last challenge layout of Minnie's house. You did a great job!

Laura

What a great idea! Yes, I've got plenty to redo, but since we're leaving for Vermont on Sunday am, I don't think I'll have time to play. Boo-hoo.

Maybe I'll be able to sneak in some time somewhere.

I got my make-over done!

BEFORE

I decided to make-over "What a Wonderful World." It was originally done for a Speed Scrap. It looks OK, but I never really liked how the title looks.

AFTER - I love the title now! And I adjusted the colors in the photos some so they stand out more. I think it looks a lot better.

Both images are linked.

What a fun challenge!! Since its the holidays and everyone is so busy and no one is signed up for next week, what do you think about extending this to a 2-week challenge?? Then everyone has time to play and no one has to stress out.

And Melissa I love your LOs. I love the before one actually, with the big paper pieces, but you're right, the title wasn't quite right. The new one is so awesome and perfect.

Awesome idea about the two weeks! I edited the first post. Hopefully everyone can get a chance to play along. :)

Thanks! I like the first one too, but the title always bugged me.

Thanks for hosting this challenge Melissa, especially during such a busy time of year!
I love this idea of a LO-makeover!! I have missed participating in challenges because I am done with my Disney book (woo-hoo!), so this challenge will be perfect for me. Of course, I can't re-do the book, but the it's all about having fun, right?

I love your LO (both) I really like how you brightened up the photos on the second one.
Thanks again!

What a great idea to extend the deadline! I was just about to post that I wouldn't be able to participate when I saw that you had extended it! :cool1:

We leave early tomorrow morning to visit Mickey and friends for Christmas so I won't be online for a week:scared1:. I wanted to wish each and every one of you a wonderful and safe holiday season whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or another holiday.

For me its:

Love the extended deadline, I'll have to think about this one I've done so few pages it's hard to redo one.

Melissa the new title really makes the page. Very neat. It was nice before but love the new one.

Same here, if we're talking digi pages. But I have lots of paper pages that could use updating. I'm trying to narrow down which to do for this challenge.

It's funny, I saw your updated LO at scrapmatters and remembered your original page, and wondered why you did it again, lol. And then I saw the challenge here. :) I love both versions! I'm glad the challenge is extended, I need to figure out which I want to redo. I might be like RRBB and redo a paper LO, not sure.

Greetings from snowy Vermont! We managed to get our drive here in almost normal time, just missing storms along the way. Right now everyone else is skiing or in town doing last minute shopping, so I have a QUIET house for cooking and relaxing. Yay!

We won't be returning home until next Wednesday, so I'll still miss this challenge. But that's okay - there's always the next one!

Melissa, what an amazing re-do of your LO! Isn't it wonderful that we can makeover digi pages like that?

Merry Christmas to everyone! :santa:

I have this on my to do list. I hope I am able to find something to makeover. I don't have many pages done that are not already in a book but I may have one I can think of that hasn't been printed and bound yet!

I think you were reading my mind on this challenge. I just happened to start working on a revamp of a layout a couple of weeks ago and didn't finish it due to the holidays. This was a great reason to finish it tonight!! :flower3:

Thank you for the great challenge!! It was just what I needed.

This turned out to be a harder challenge than I thought it would. I agonized over the layout, did it, then redid it. (DH didn't really like the way I did it the first time.) I'm still not sure about it, but I'm going to call it quits or I'll never finish.

The original layout was done for a CJ from the DVC member cruise in 2006. It was in a spiral-bound book so I didn't really have a choice for background.

Here's how I reworked the layout.

Ok here is my do-over!! :) I did this one last April and I never really love it. I think its weird and boring (click images for credits).

And here is the re-do! I have to say I like it much more!! So glad we had this challenge!

Thanks again for hosting Melissa!
