First I am subscribing!

Second you have been to disney 30+ times!? WOWEE. No one you have spreadsheets and plans like crazy.

And thanks for letting me know that I can find the dates of fantasmic and what not before I go. I just kept reading "You can pick up times when you enter the park". I had looked at the calendar on the disney website but never clikced on the individual days. I definitly have a lot to do now!

Sounds like a great first day! We are excited to meet you guys!

This will probably be one of the best first days I've had at WDW. I hope all the other days are as good. :goodvibes

I'll be looking in the ME line for you! I did see that Alan was going with his son on Wednesday there. I love the Tiramisu at Tutto's so I'll definately give Tony's a try too. YUM!

I got FD !!! I am sooo Happy!!

:yay::yay::yay: FD is awesome! They had it going last September when we were there, but since we stayed at DVC through a timeshare trade we weren't eligible. We were sooooo jealous of all those enjoying that perk. Congrats!

Thanks for stopping by. My first trip to Disney was in '73. My Grandparents took the whole family and we stayed at the Contemporary. I actually still have my certificate from the Mouseketeer Clubhouse at the Contemporary from one of my early trips. Sadly, its now closed. :sad1: I'm passing on my love of all things Disney to my DS4. This will be our 4th "Boys Only" trip and his 6th overall. He is way ahead of my pace. :lmao:

The DIS is actually easier to navigate for park hours and parade times.

Check out this link which covers park hours, parades and fireworks time.

Good luck with the planning! :goodvibes

Yes Colin I am very happy about the SeptemberFD !!:cool1: It is a huge savings for us !! :banana:I won't be doing as many Dis Meets then as I'll be too busy orgainizing everyones day !! :lmao:So am thrilled that my May trip is packed with Meets !! have 4 scheduled !!!:wizard:

DIS Joke of the Day:

Q: What do you call a morning at DHS, an evening at MK, with a big DIS meet in between?

A: A Mammoth MEET Sandwich. :lmao:

O.k., o.k. I know that is pretty lame, but its the best I could come up with to discribe my day.

Day 2 (May 17th) will start out with a rope drop at DHS. We usually do the Play 'n Dine at DHS (Colin and his friend Leo are seen below from our last trip), but we have some other character BF's planned this trip to mix it up.

TSM 2X is the goal here. Run ahead for the FP, and do stand by for the first ride. Other rides/shows that we will try to attend today include Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and maybe an American Idol show. I must say that I'm not a huge fan of AI, but since its new we'll definately give it a shot. I think this is all we'll have time for during our a.m. time before taking the boat from DHS over to EP for the next part of our day which is...........(insert drum roll here)......

The Mammoth May Meet at Epcot!

Time to throw out some props to my main DIS man Alan. Who along with his "Team Renfroe" and the greatest event promoter on this board helping out (yes I'm talking about Rosie) are organizing this amazing meet at 3pm at the WS in France (then off to the UK). I will surely be using a snack credit for a Napoleon in France, my favorite dessert at Boulangerie Patisserie.

Click the link below for more info about this meet! We're even doing shirts! I'd mention the thongs, but my PTR is rated G. :rotfl:

DISers unite! MAMMOTH MAY MEET Epcot on May 17, 2009!

After the meet (which I probably won't want to leave especially if I'm at the R&C), its off to the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare for Cinderella's Gala Feast. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Lady Tremaine who I hear is a hoot. I've been advised to tell her the my DS4 is a VERY rich Prince.

After dinner, its a short monorail ride over to the MK for the second night in a row because of the evening EMH's. POTC, HM, SM and BTM are on the short list for the evening. We may also fit in some target practice at BLSRS for an upcoming challange vs. Team Renfroe.

I'm sure we will give it a go, but won't come close to making it to closing time. The day ends like the first...with a boat ride home to the Wilderness Lodge.

Jason... am not sure if you have met or interested to meet Ranger Stan... last December we were able to get a glimps of him... the WL tours get full fast that week. I am hoping to look for him in April when I go... a link below has not been updated but there's alot of good fyi about Ranger Stan. He is retiring in June 09!

and great updates with your plan... I am so jealous... I have 16 days left and all I have is one adr for my Sunday the 19th  I might need to borrow that spreadsheet for October trip :dance3:

Ok I am not up on all the restaurants at Disney. Is this is a CS or a TS? Where is it? My DS loves little einsteins and this would be awesome! (we also have to attempt to find a power ranger while there as he is obsessed with them even though we have to limit his watching of them!)

Play 'N Dine is a TS restaurant at the Hollywood and Vine restaurant in Disney's Hollywood Studios. BF and L are buffets and have Leo, June (no Quincy or Annie), Jo Jo and Goliath. There is dancing every 20-30 minutes or so when kids are invited up to dance with the characters. All characters come to each table as well. There are no characters at dinner.

I personally think the BF is better than the lunch (and it costs less). BF is 12.99 for kids 3-9, and adults are 22.99.

Also, I've seen the Power Rangers at DHS right in front of the Lights! Motors! Action! Stunt Show. I'm pretty sure they still are there. Check the time guide when you are at that park for appearance time on the Streets of America.

I got this picture off AllEars, so don't get any ideas that I'm an in the closet Power Ranger fan who just happens to know the RED Ranger and I share the same name. :rotfl:

FREE DINING??? Who's offering free dining? :lmao:

But in all seriousness, I too am excited about our meets and glad I have you "promoting" the Dole Whips too. :goodvibes

And now that I realize I'm acutally supposed to take pictures of all the food I eat while at Disney, I'll be better prepared to offer a great Post-Trip Report with dining reviews including pics of 1900 Park Fare. We're doing both Cinderella's Gala Feast on the 17th, and the Supercalifragilistic BF on the 23rd.

It is soooooo great to say NEXT MONTH! :yay:

I agree next month sounds soooo good !!I have to check to see if I have the Hopper I have forgotten but if not I need to add it !!

Chapter 8: Mickey's Jam'n Jungle Parade or Bust!

Day 3 - May 18th

The day will start with the a.m. EMH at AK. And therein lies my dillema. I always do the a.m EMH's here so I can jump on KS before the crowds come and the animals are still active. We hit EE, KRR, D, ITTBAB, and a show or two, and get the park done by 2pm. I then move on, either heading back to the resort for a break or onto another park with my Park Hopper. It's always the same question. Do we wait around a few hours in the heat for the Jam'n Jungle Parade with the crowds that have now gathered or do we move on? The answer has always been move on. I've never seen this parade. :sad2:

So in the spirit of doing a lot of "Firsts" on this trip, its Mickey's Jam'n Jungle Parade or Bust.

To keep us at the AK, this will be our only scheduled day here. Its my hope this will keep us motivated enough till stick it out for the parade. Some of the things we normally skip we'll do this time (like Camp Minnie-Mickey, and Rafiki's Planet Watch). And if its hot out, we'll probably do KRR more than 1X.

I haven't gotten into my CS restaurant choices in previous chapters, but for AK it will be either Pizzafari or Flame Tree BBQ which is one of my fav's. I'm not sure about FT today though, because our dinner tonight is "similar" (but I'll get into that in a couple of paragraphs). At FT, I usually do the Ribs :thumbsup2 and will get a frozen lemonade for dessert, but if we hit Pizzafari, it will be either the Hot Italian Sandwich or the Chicken Parm Sandwich.

So if all goes as planned, the assumption is that we make it to the Jam'n Jungle Parade then quickly skidaddle from AK heading directly back to the our resort for either some rest or a pool break. This will be up to whichever DS4 chooses, so I'm guessing pool. We should easily have an hour or more before we have to get ready for our dinner ADR which just happens to be at our resort this evening, so no rushing out tonight :).

Our ADR is scheduled for 6:15 at the Whipering Canyon Cafe. I've read a lot about it, and I hope we get a great server who's up for giving us the full show. For dinner, I'm torn between a few items: the Canyon Skillet, the St. Louis Ribs, or, the Rib Eye Steak. If we eat at Flame Tree for lunch, I'll probably go with the Rib Eye, if lunch is at Pizzafari I'll flip a coin for the Ribs or Canyon Skillet. If I remember correctly, this is also the place to find the "Sherrif Shakes" and I'm hoping its covered as my drink on the DDP. I love chocolate shakes.

After dinner tonight, we have a couple of options. Nothing is set in stone after dinner. Option 1 - If there is something cool going on at our resort or nearby at FW, we can do that. Option 2 - Tonight there are p.m. EMH's at DHS. I'm not sure its worth the trouble getting over to DHS for a few extra rides, so we'll probably go with option 1, ending our day by watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach before calling it a night. :goodvibes

Up next - Chapter 9: My DS4's dream comes true at Epcot

Great Plans Jason !! Colin must be a trooper to handle those long days !!I know in September I am torn about a Hopper as Kyle still is young and it is gonna be HOT!!!!For me a Hopper is a definate but for all of us I'm not sure !

Colin is a trooper and has soooo much energy. Its me that has a hard time keeping up! :rotfl: When we take our afternoon breaks, he will go up and down the pool slide non-stop till we have to get ready for dinner! I'll join him for the first 10 rides down the slide, but then I'm done. I wish I had half his energy.

We love the Hopper, mostly because it allows us to take advantage of the morning EMH's and then go elsewhere. It also allows us to eat anywhere we want for dinner (in a park) after being somewhere else in the morning.

I will bring along the Maclaren though for Colin, because there is a lot of walking and it folds flat if he does decide to crash. As far as our days go, when he's had enough I'm usually in total agreement. :goodvibes

:yay:And...We got another for the Dole Whip Meet today! :yay:

What maclaren do you have? Just curious as I have been stroller shopping!!!

Sounds like a fabulous plan for that day to me.

I think my DS4 will be crashing every day around 4 or 5. If we go on a car ride at this time of day or he has woken up early and sits down to watch a movie, he is out around this time. In the stroller, in a ride, I don't think it will matter...haha. He can crash just about anywhere!!! I am planning on just putting him our stroller (we are taking a Maclaren Volo, it doesn't recline but like I said DS can sleep just about anywhere) and shopping while hubby goes and does the BIG rollarcoasters (I can't do RnR or TOT as my neck has issues, but if DS wants to do TOT I might chance it this time).

Oh and I haven't seen a parade since I was in Kindergarten. I am planning on seeing ALL of them this year though!

I have a Techno (about 4 y/o) that has held up great. It about 12lbs and folds down to next to nothing which has helped tremendously on the busses.

Oh and I haven't seen a parade since I was in Kindergarten. I am planning on seeing ALL of them this year though!

I love parades now. But I think it might have something to do with being able to sit down. :lmao:

Chapter 9: My DS4's dream comes true at Epcot

Day 4 - May 19th

O.k. I posted this chapter last night and its not here!:scared1: Maybe I didn't hit submit. Oh well, here I go again....

Today is going to be a special day for my DS4. Because one of his dreams (to fly) is about to come true! Today we are going to Epcot for the am EMH to ride Soarin' which I'm pretty sure will be his favorite.

To be sure we get on Soarin' with little wait, we will be doing the rope drop and heading straight there. The plan will be to get a FP for a return flight, and go stand-by. After Soarin', we'll ride TT standby and then see where the rest of the morning takes us. The Living Seas with Nemo, and Turtle Talk are definates along with a Kim Possible Mission. Our FP return time will dictate our CS lunch (which if everything works out will be around noon at Sunshine Seasons - my favorite CS at Epcot).

A mid-afternoon break at our resort is planned, and then it is off to the MK for the 3rd night in 4 days. It's proximity to our resort and the fact that it suits my DS4 the best are the main reasons for the repeats.

Tonight we will be eating at Crystal Palace. :yay: We've had great bf's here, so I'm hoping the dinners are just as good.

Here's a pic from breakfast during our September trip. My DS4 loves Piglet!

IMG_4134.jpg

After dinner, its off to BLSRS because we accepted a challenge from the Men of Team Renfroe for a Space Ranger Shootout. The losing dad has to buy the winning dad a beer :drinking1 at the MK. (Just wanted to see if you're paying attention, as there is no beer at the MK.:rotfl:) Bragging rights are the only thing on the line here.

After BLSRS, maybe we'll hit MTT and the Indy Speedway (as DS4 loved driving last trip.) Basically, what ever he wants to do. A trip on the WDWRR back to the main gate will be the finish to our day.

Tommorrow I'm going to do something I've never done before. I will let DTS decide where we go. :confused3
