Only the Brown Derby is 2 TS credits. Mama Melrose and Hollywood and Vine are only 1 TS credit.

Wow, didn't know this! Thanks i'll keep this in mind for the future

You're welcome!

I'm breaking Jason's DDP rule and using 2 TS for my first visit to the Brown Derby. Since I'm going solo, I figured I would splurge! :cool1:

Hi colinsdad! Just wanted to let you know the DIS-meet tees came in today and they look great! I will be sending them out on Monday. Have a great weekend!

I think HBD is worthy of a rule break. Rules are made to be broken. ;)

Chapter 12: Colin......I am your father!

Star-Wars-Weekends.jpg

Day 7: May 22 - STAR WARS WEEKEND BEGINS AT DHS

As our trip is winding down, one of my favorite events is starting at WDW...Star Wars Weekends.

I was 8 years old when Star Wars hit the big screen. I wanted to be Luke Skywalker, had a crush on Princess Leia, and so wanted to have my own X-Wing. The first time I rode Star Tours, and the ride took me into the trenches of the Death Star during a battle I could have cried I was so happy.

The last time I was at a SWW, it was in May of 2005 for another "boys only" trip with my DS. But on that trip he was only 9 months old. My family thought I was crazy going alone with him. This time, my little padawan will get to enjoy (and remember) things like the Jedi Training Acadamy and Star Tours.

I'm sure DHS will be packed, so we will slow down the pace and use some Jedi mind tricks and the Force to be sure we get on a few rides. :yoda:. One of the things I remember from 2005 was when entering DHS (which was MGM then), they had Stormtroopers "guarding" the entrace by standing on top of the turnstiles.

Being SWW, we will be sure to soak up the atmosphere and either get a FP for Star Tours or ride it first thing in the a.m. After ST, I'll see if I can get Colin into the Jedi Training Acadamy. Another must for us today will be to see the parade which features the cast of characters marching by.

Today, I will also break one of my ADR rules (:scared1:) and use a TS for lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine In. I'm really looking forward to this, as I've heard nothing but good things about SFDI and I guess it has become a hard ADR. The menu looks good (worthy of a TS) and I'm looking at the St. Louis Ribs and an Oreo Cookie Milk Shake! Yummmmmmmy.

You eat in cars and face a screen showing old B-Movies. How cool does this look!

Depending on how strong the Force is with us, will determine how long we remain at DHS today. Since this will be our only real opportunity to enjoy SWW, we'll try to stick it out, but at the latest we'll be out of there before dinner.

Epcot is on the radar for the evening. It's funny, but I always seem to be at Epcot my last night at WDW. Probably because its open later and I love strolling the World Showcase at night.

I've planned on using a CS credit for dinner, so wherever mood the WS puts me in is where I'll be having dinner. I've never tried the Tangierine Cafe, maybe tonights the night. :confused3 There is also a Flower Power concert tonight which we may check out, and if I have any snack credits left I sure would like to have a Napolean at the Patisserie in France one more time (and if I don't have any SC's left you can be sure I'll be having one anyway! :rotfl:).

Illuminations will close out our last evening at WDW.

Up Next - Chapter 13: A Supercalifragilistic Half-Day at the World

I'm doing a lunch at SciFi too, because it fits my plans better I am doing it oop and just getting either a reuben or a Hamburger which I have heard are both good !! I absolutely love the oreocookie milkshakes !! It is also on our Sept list with the family!! I will be checking out SWW as well !!

Great plan. We will also be in Epcot for a 730p ressie at Rose and Crown staying for Illuminations. If you get a chance come have a beer!

Hello, anyone out there??

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (Picturing Dory in my mind from Finding Nemo :lmao:).

I've been away on business for a few days so I have some catching up on the posts. One more trip chapter to write about (Last day:sad1:) then some banter for sure.

Only 2 more weeks tommorrow! :woohoo:

On a fun note, I got a new toy for my trip. I had been going back and forth for a few weeks (I've always had a Cannon), but I liked the options on the Sony.

Chapter 13: A Supercalifragilistic Half-Day at the World

Day 8 - May 23

Our last day at Disney will start with a return trip to the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare. But this time it will be for the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast hosted by Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and friends.

I forgot to write down my exact time of this ADR on my sheet, but since its on our last day I figured I'd just check with the concierge when we arrive at the Lodge. I'm pretty sure its around 8:30am.

Our BF time will determine whether we check out before or after. But I'm thinking before so we'll have more time in the park today. So before taking the boat over to the MK and monorail to GF, we'll go to the airline desk to check in for our 7pm flight and drop off our luggage. Assuming the ME pick-up time is around 4pm, that should give us a full 6 hours before we need to be back at WL.

Because of the proximity to the WL, and its DS4's favorite park, we'll end our trip at MK, with dad being sure to soak up the Main Street USA atmosphere as long as possible to keep him in his happy place. :goodvibes

Before leaving today, we'll definately take a ride on PP, IASW, HM, the WDWRR and have a Mickey Bar. :mickeybar I like to do all the classics on the last day. :thumbsup2

We'll fit in what we can, but won't dwell on what we miss because we'll be back in August.

Our next day at WDW will be on my DS4's 5th birthday:cake:

:welcome: back! Nice camera.

I just watched Nemo yesterday. It's my favorite Disney movie!

Thanks.

I love the Finding Nemo show at DHS (but it kind of gets me choked up a bit when I'm there with my DS).

My favorite Disney movie is (and I probably shouldn't admit this) The Little Mermaid.

:rotfl2: That is too funny. I mean it is my fav movie so I totally understand, but I love that admit it!

Looks like a nice camera. I have a cybershot though not as nice as yours. I think mine is only a 9 pixel or something like that. Mine is also pink, gota have pink! I am not really into cameras, my hubby picked it out for me.

Can't believe we leave so soon!!!!!!! :woohoo:

I'm not a big camera person myself which is the main reason I got the Sony. What I was looking for was a good picture, something small enough that I can fit it on my hip without noticing it, and does most of the thinking for me. I do know that 12 megapixels is a bit of overkill, but it has all these easy buttons (like Staples :lmao:) so I don't have to think when taking pictures. The camera even has a smile detector which can recognize a smile and will shoot the picture even if you don't press the button. Incredible! How does it know this?

I'm too am so excited we're leaving soon. But this is kind of funny. I was looking at my other countdown ticker for August and realized that I need to make my ADR's for that trip the day after I return from this trip! :scared1:

So I guess I have some work to do before the 16th. :confused3
