Direct Purchase Guide Recommendation?

I am sure there are plenty of good guides. I can tell you that my experience with Eric Locke was a good one. He understood and worked with my desire to mostly go resale, was easily able to cancel a 50 point direct contract that I rescinded on, and got me a 25 point add on within 5 minutes of me asking for it. There was always a desire to make a sale on his part, but I never felt pressured or deceived throughout the process.

I will happily recommend my guide, Cristina Wittmann. I always felt like she was being straight with us. She took the time to explain UYs and didn't press when we weren't ready to buy after the tour. I came back later and asked about Polynesian, and she said she didn't have any available, but immediately let me know what she did have. When we decided we wanted AKV, she got us exactly what we wanted and never tried to push CCV. I think I appreciated that more than anything else - she didn't push and was honest with what she could do.

Gib McCain is a very good senior guide who has been there for years.

I second this recommendation. Gib was very patient with us when buying while we researched for ~8 months. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

I had to fight to get Gib to check for availability on what I wanted. He kept trying to sell me the newest resort because, he said, the longer contract made it a better value. But if you’re old enough when you’re buying, you might not want to factor in vacationing at Disney World when you will be over 80.

I made it clear that I was only going to buy where I wanted to stay, and if he didn’t have that available I wouldn’t buy anything from him. He finally agreed to check and did sell me what I wanted.
