Direct - Banking with Purchase after Banking Deadline

So, we just started toying with adding 50 more points onto VDH. We have an Oct. UY. Obviously well past the banking window. Any ideas on whether they would bank the 2023 points for us if we were to purchase prior to Oct. 1?

If you purchase a direct contract after the banking deadline they will bank the points for you. We have done this. No problem.

I believe that they'll do this with a new direct purchase as well.

We had a 50 point direct purchase BWV, March UY in January 2004 and they wouldn’t bank for us. We donated a studio stay at OKW to the “Give the Kids the World” volunteers.

Yes, now they would bank them for us.

Ive got direct and banked 2 weeks before my UY......

They have always done it for me when direct. I guess others have different experience.

I have done it via chat.

One thing of note is that the purchasing and banking is not done in one single transaction. DVD sells, but DVC banks. They've recommended one day processing for the purchase.

Therefore the latest you can BUY (as recommended by my guide) is the day before the last day of your UY-- then on the last day you call MS to bank before they close.

I’m not sure the exact timeframe but we have always had our points added in a few hours and were then able to call MS and then they were able to bank the points for us.

We have never done last day of month but it has been close to make the prorated dues bill just a tad cheaper

I am on the west coast, which means Disney's EBD ends 3 hours sooner. Prob why I got that advice. I've last minute added on twice, couple years apart.

Just received an email from my guide about adding on to my Oct UY-- she explains the 2023 points and even mentions annual dues prorated savings.

I definitely appreciate the more upfront and clear info vs sales marketing lingo ("double points!")
