I have a friend of mine and his partner excited and ready to sail with my wife and I on Feb 2018 The one issue is he is mainly a steak/chicken person. The menu seems to feature more seafood and more exotic cuts of meats like lamb, duck, or veal. I know veal is beef, but he does not want baby cows. I have been trying to research the menus online, but a lot of the menus I am finding are years old.

I did see at one point there was a beef Wellington on one of the menus. I wish/hope that is still available. Any insight in to beef/chicken dishes on the Wonder would be appreciated.

Pretty sure there is always steak (or some kind of beef) and/or chicken (apparently a QUARTER chicken with bones and not a BREAST which IMHO should be boneless) under the "Lighter Note" offerings.

There is always a "lighter menu" every night and he can also order from the kids menu.

Thank you for the quick info! As far as room service is concerned I know prepackaged food like chips and water are not covered. However, is pizza or a hamburger covered or do you have to pay extra?

http://disneycruiselineblog.com/menus/ has menus. I had submitted my Wonder ones from our August Alaskan cruise, so you should find some menus from the past year listed.

Yes, pizza, burgers, etc are free from room service--you can also get those for free up on the pool deck at the 'quick service' type restaurants. For room service, while most items are free, the delivery person should receive a tip. Here is the room service menu: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/menus/room-service-menu/

And, of course, your friend can always order off the children's menu. The option for a burger seems to be always on there.

I'm not a seafood eater, either, but I've always been able to find some beef or chicken selection (in addition to the lighter fare offers) on the main menu.

I too am a beef/chicken eater. I don't eat seafood, or any of the more exotic meats, although I will do veal. With that said, I find plenty to eat in the main dining rooms. As other noted there are the lighter offerings options each night. I have also been able to get pasta with marinara sauce off the kids menu a few times, and also when it wasn't on the kids menu, our servers have been able to find some for me. On our last cruise we enjoyed the prime rib on our first night and our server got it for DS and I 2 more nights. They will definitely do anything they can to accommodate you.

I've seen in threads people mentioning there are schwarmas available. Is that on the other ships or can we get that on the Wonder too? Also there's a rice bowl station? Is that up with the other quick service restaurants?

Never saw a rice bowl station but it could have been one of the specialty items in Cabanas. Each day at lunch they have a specialty item at the back of the room (at the end of the food line) where they feature a special dish. I have seen baked potato bar, stir fry, pasta bar, etc.

I am actually boarding the Wonder on Friday. I'll try to remember to see if they have rice bowls somewhere.

I too am a very conservative eater and just got off the Wonder in December. There are some nights with slim pickings on the menu for me but was able to pull up the menus from the other restaurants on the navigator app and order from them. So I had delicious meals every night without doing the lighter menu options or kids menu.

That only works on the nights that the Signature menus are being served in the dining rooms. All other nights the same menu is served in all dining rooms.

Certainly not an expert but someone at our table pretty much ordered from another restaurant every night except the last night of Tritons and Pirate night. We had a table of 10.

I can only report that there are 3 nights on any given cruise that each dining room has a different menu (each serves it's own Signature menu). The other nights, if you're on a cruise longer than 3 nights, all the dining rooms serve the same menu on the same night. Those menus usually are Pirate menu; Prince and Princess; Captain's Gala; or other themed menus.

How long was your cruise?

I think I read somewhere that they added this to Daisy's Delights. Would love confirmation on this!

Have a great cruise!

My BF is kind of a beef and chicken person, too. And he does get a bit bored with the choices in the main dining rooms. Mainly because he does not want to eat steak every single night. I think every menu always has some kind of beef dish and then in addition the sirloin form the lighter fare offerings. You can also skip dinner at the MDR one night and go to Cabanas, where they usually have a very nice rib eye steak on the menu (in my experience this is a standard item available there every night). Your friend could also order from the kids menu if he wants to do that.

Also because you mentioned the menus being old: The ones on the blog you got the link to might be a little old. But they are still the ones being in use. The blog is usually very good in updating things when there are changes. So, the age should not matter.
