I just read on DisneyCentral that Dinosaur is rumored to begin a 3 month rehab beginning in April. Does anyone know if this is really going to happen? My son is so looking forward to this ride! :(

Aloha guys! :earsgirl:

From the Disney website:

Dinosaur will not be operating April 19 - June 1, 2004.

Sorry! :(

Oh...that's not fair! Piddle! I never thought I would like that ride so much, but I do. Now, I'm going to miss it.

Well that is just great! :mad My son LOVES dinosaurs and that is all he has been talking about! And we only get to Disney about once every four years. He is going to be SO disappointed. :(

I sure hope they have this done by June 1st. We are going 06/06. My 11 year old has ridden this and thought it was scary so now she wants my 17 year old to try it and be scared. Nice sister huh!!!

IMHO, Dinosaur is one of the best attractions in all of WDW.

Oh well, I guess it will just be a shorter day at the AK this year.
I was really looking forward to taking my mom. This will be her first trip to WDW and I really wanted her to ride Dinosaur. I sure she would have loved it:scared1:

People always aske me why I want to go to Disney in the middle of the summer. Other than being crazy, it's just nice knowing that Rehabs shouldn't be a problem.

Dory41, I know how frustrating it might be not to be able to see one of your son's favorite rides but there is an alternative, at IOA the Jurassic Park Discovery Center is very good for kids and the ride is one of the best I've ridden! Don't get me wrong I love the Dinosaur ride and my little nephew is looking forward to it but we also always visit USO while in Florida and if we can't catch one place we can see it another. Good luck and have a wonderful trip.:bounce:

I just returned 2/22 and above all else, my 8 year old son who rode the tower of terror and rock n roll rollercoaster, etc., did not like dinosaur. We were so looking forward to this ride but we hated it. It was jerky and dark and my son said he hated how the dinosaurs popped out at you. You really don't get to enjoy the dinosaurs anyways because of all the strobe lights and the darkness.

Take your son on the Energy ride at Epcot. He'll be able to enjoy the dinosaurs there. That's a great ride and educational too. Plus its long, 37 minutes.

We rode Dinosaur at least four times during our trip in June; we really love it! I sure hope it's back in operation by the first week in June this year.

I had heard this from one of the CMs from Dinosaur while there the first week of Feb. So now it's official. We too will miss it on our May trip, but will be back in July.
