Dinosaur and BTMR

Hi!

I was wondering, first of all, how loud is Dinosaur? My dad is sensitive to noise. Can it be compared to anything, or does anyone know an estimate of how many DBs it is?

Ok, here's a slightly easier question: how scary is BTMR? Can you compare it to anything else?

Dinosaur is quite loud (not sure how many DB's), but so are most attractions at WDW. Muppets is one of the louder ones, believe it or not! If Dad is sensitve to sound, you might want to consider some of those squishy earplugs that still let you hear things but take the sting out of the loudness.

BTMRR is sort of like a 'crazy mouse' coaster. Very fast, with lots of little hills and big turns. It's suitable for preschoolers (meaning, not scary as far as coasters go). There are no big drops or upside-down elements. The main appeal is that it's really whizzy. We all love the big, intense coasters, but BTMRR is always a must-do for us. Just good fun!

How about the heavy duty ear plugs that you see musicians wear? Small enough to keep in the pocket and if they protect ears at a rock concert, they should be more than enough for DisneyDad.

My dad always carries the little yellow squishy ear plugs (just in case ), so I hope that would be enough.

Those will work well. It is loud and jerks around quite a bit. DW can't ride because it hurts her back. Have used those plugs on military ranges and they keep out noise up to and including tank 120mm main gun noise & 155mm howitzers. Should work well on Dinosaur!

Agreed - Dino is VERY loud.

BTMRR is quite tame, but a bit jerky for those sensitive to movement.
