The Disneyland meal plan is not the same as WDW meal plan. It is a book of vouchers. Depending on which plan you get, it would include Character Meals, Snack vouchers and $5, $10, and $15 vouchers. Most people don't feel there is an advantage because you don't save any money. The character meal vouchers do include the amount of the meal, tax, and tip so you only hand over the voucher and it is all paid for. As for the remainder of the vouchers, you would use as cash but you will not get any change back. So if the dinner is $27.00, I would give them $25.00 in vouchers and $2 in cash. I like it because majority of my meals are pre-paid. You can only use them in DL and DCA and the restaurants of the resort hotels. If you have any more questions, let me know.
