Dinner question

Hi all,
We are on board right now. This is our honeymoon. We have the APL rotation. The first night at Animator's Palate, we were at a table by ourselves. Nick, the manager, came over and asked us if tomorrow night (last night) we would like to share a table with others. We said, sure. That's the fun of this. Well, we got to Parrot Cay and the table they were going to seat us at, we got there and the people there said it was a full table. Well, Nick didn't have that information. So after about 10 minutes he found us a table with two kids whose parents were at Palo. The kids kept saying they didn't want us there. Talk about feeling loved. Well, Nick is great. He gave us a bottle of wine for the night. Later in the dinner, he came over and asked us that for the nights we would be in Animator's Palatte would we mind eating in Palo's. We said no problem. But thinking about all of this, I am not so sure. I was really looking forward to the Tropical dinner and now we are in Palo's that night.

Any suggestions?

Is it on the house? Go for it. It doesn't sound like you've been to Palo for any of the meals. It is really great! Since you've been in Animators for the show, I would go for Palo.

Sounds like dinner is just a horror story for you. Nick was our head server last year, what a great guy, we just loved him.

I personally would go for Palo's, it'll be a nice honeymoon treat. Since the Tropical Deck party begins later, why not change into your tropical duds after dinner, and join in the fun up on deck.

Angie,

It sounds like you'd be at Animators two more times then? If so, maybe you could do your tropical night and eat at Palo's instead of Animators for your last night. It sounds like Nick is trying to make things right for you guys, but it's your vacation and if you'd rather not miss tropical night, then maybe you could do brunch and only one dinner at Palo's instead of the 2 dinners that he offered.

Palo's is truly romantic and I really recommend at least one dinner there. You won't be disappointed.

Well, Nick is a wonderful guy. I am curious if I ask, could they find us another restaurant to eat in those night? We have reservations for Palo's for Wednesday night, as part of the REAS package. We did tea there today and brunch yesterday. I will let you all know how things go tonight.

I know my DH would love to eat in Palo's every night, but that might be just a little too much of a good thing. Maybe you could split the difference and trade for another restaurant that you like on one of the nights and Palo's to end your cruise. Perhaps he might know of another couple, like yourselves, that would make better tablemates than 2 young kids. If you want to change though, perhaps it would be best to seek Nick out early.

It's nice to hear that you are being well taken care of though. Our cruise staff was amazing and I don't think that I've experienced better anywhere else.
