dinner question

We will be in Disney for Presiden't week and made all of our reservations. A few weeks ago friends decided to meet us there. They were able to get some similar reservations, but not all. One night we are eating at the Castle at 5:20 and another night at LeCellier at 4:05. Our reservations are for 4. Do you think if we showed up with 8 and asked, they would try to seat us, even if it meant waiting a while? Or, would they tell us they are all booked up and can't do it? Just curious if anyone ever tried thsi before.

last year we tried to get two more in with our reservation and they said no......you can try but what if they say no also....where will your friends go??. Feb vacation week is very very heavy traffic there...

Those are two of the most popular restaurants on property. They're completely booked months in advance. They don't take walk ups.

Maybe, just maybe, you might be able to get an extra person in. But 4? Doubling the party size? I really doubt they'd be able or willing to seat you. That'd mean that an entire table for 4 would have to be sitting empty at the time you arrive. Not likely.

Try calling to change your ADR to 8. you'd be more likely to get that than 4 extra people on arrival. Either way, you're probably out of luck.

Am I reading your post correctly that in most instances you have two separate ADRs of 4 people? Are you expecting to all sit together? I wouldn't count on it.

Thanks for the asdvice. They are OK with going to a cs place while we eat, but I thought I would see what the chances are of them getting in.

Some reservations we were able to change to 8, some they made a separate one at a similar time and we figured we could just wait for whoever finishes first and then continue on in the park together.
