Dinner: Kona vs. Ohana

Trying to decide on our last ADR. I am torn between Kona and Ohana, both of the menus look good to us. I thought it would be cool to make our ressie for 7:30-ish and then go out on the beach to watch Wishes. Is that possible? Which restaurant do you reccomend over the other and why?

Ohana's. Kona's s pretty casual and good for a quick bite to eat. Its better for breakfast or lunch but ohana's is by far better for dinner.

We like both , but prefer Kona for it's selection of different entrees and desserts. If you haven't tried O'Hana yet I'd go there first to try it out.

i would go with kona the food is always delicious i think ohanas is hit or miss the last time i was there the food was very dry and our waiter was no where to be found kona has never disappointed us

We much preferred Kona, both from a food standpoint and a service standpoint. In fact, Kona is on our "must do" list for our upcoming trip and I didn't even think about Ohana. Frankly, I just don't get the hype that surrounds Ohana, but that's just my opinion. Good luck!!

Children would no doubt prefer Ohana because of all the activities going on and the ambiance in general. Food is copious but just ok. Kona on the other hand is one of the hidden jewels of dining at WDW (along with GFC) imho. The food is always excellent and the staff very friendly. So, I guess if you're going for the food, definitely go to Kona. If you want the view/atmosphere, go to Ohana.

Well the bread and the wings are better at Kona but I love the shrimp and the dessert at Ohana

DH says Kona because he likes the steak teriyaki best and wasnt crazy for the noodles, meats and stir fry veggies from Ohana

thanks everyone! I think we'll try Kona. We will probably try Ohana at some point too but that teriyaki steak @ Kona looks delish! Do they allow you to go out on the Beach to watch Wishes? is it PACKED?

For our family, 'Ohana = quantity while Kona Cafe = quality.
