Dinner in the trailer ideas

Crocking Dinners this week long stay too.
Where do you all find these crock liners? And do they come in the oval and round sizes?

Do you all leave your Crocks ON outside under cover or in your pop ups?
Not thrilled about the smell of lingering BBQ pork all night in the pup?

How far is the nearest grocery store for us to restock some produce as the week goes on?

Just landed a ressie for April...looking forward to a week at the Fort!

I got the liners - I think they are by Reynolds - at WalMart. About $2-$3 for a box of 3 as I recall. They are actually sort of square shaped with a pleated bottom and you just spread it out/around to fit your crock.

As for the crock, I wasn't comfortable leaving it outside, so we left it inside on the counter with nothing else around it. Didn't really have a problem with any lingering food odors, but maybe that's because the A/C was running and circulating things fairly well.

As for grocery stores, there are several options. We ended up going to WalMart, which was maybe 10-15 minutes away and not hard to get to.

This may help, we stopped at The Trails End takeout one night. They offer "The Lone Ranger" 2pieces of chicken, a side and bread. We bought 2 of these as there is only Glo and myself.The dinners were $10.00 each because we ordered white meat. We both saved a piece as they are large, this must be where they get the turkey legs The lady behind the buffet line told us we could have had grilled chicken.

I always put my crock pot in the sink if I will be away for the day. My sink is stainless steel, so I figured if it boiled over there would be less clean up that way and less chance of fire.
