i plan to go to mnsshp on sept 27
i made dinner reservations at 5:30 at liberty tree but other people in my party are not happy with that
so is there somewhere i can change to that is close to mk so i make it back in time for the parade
thanks

How about Kona over at the Poly? The food is really good and we're usually able to get in and out pretty quickly.

Truth be told though, on party nights I prefer to do a sit down lunch and then just grab some CS during the party so we can spend the time enjoying the festivities.

Crystal Palace is an option. Being a buffet, that should please everyone in your party.

Have a good trip!!

We have tried LTT before MNSSHP started and were really disappointed, it used to be character dining so it made it a little worth it but now we won't eat there anymore. Last year we tried Tony's before MNSSHP started and weren't really happy with that either.

This year we have Crystal Palace booked for 5:00 so hopefully when we come out from eating we will just move into the party :thumbsup2

I'm hoping with the expansion of Fantasyland that there will come more choices for good table service dining in the MK!

If timing is critical how about QS like Cosmic Rays or TS at the Plaza Restaurant?

If you have time the Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe and the Wave are all a quick monorail ride away.

With the party ticket you can enter at 4pm (at least you could in the past) so you will be able to enter the park early even if you dont have a regular day ticket for your party day. I would suggest CP if you want to sitdown but honestly a sit down breakfast or lunch would probably be better and just snack or QS dinner.

I'd vote for Crystal Palace too. We ate at CRT, the night we went, and LOVED it . But if you want something that you can pretty much move fast through, then Crystal Palace is great.

Also, I you might want to look at Tony's and see if that appeals to you....:confused3

i have a breakfast reservation at crystal palace that day at 9:15
so i thought it was stupid to have dinner there too
i heard tonys is bad is that true
is there any good counter service

We are planning on MNSSHP the same night and I booked a 5:00 at "Ohana. I am hoping that it will give the 3 year old in our party a little down time before the night time activities. We have never attended any after hours events, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are doing the right thing!

I do love Kona Cafe as well and that was my second choice!

I debated what to book for dinner that night--we are attending MNSSHP as well. Instead we decided to have lunch at Le Cellier around 1:15, then we'll grab a quick bite at Captain Cooks at the Poly (where we're staying) before heading over to MK for the party.

We were going to eat at Columbia Harbor House on our MNSSHP night, but I wasn't sure what time it would close.

So we're now eating at The Plaza Restaurant... it's a table-service restaurant, but I'm hoping it will be quicker than other table-service locations since they serve mainly hamburgers and sandwiches (and yummy ice cream treats). Plus, I've read some really good reviews!

My girlfriend and I decided to spend all day at MK when we go to MNSSHP. We are probably going to have breakfast at 1900 PF then have dinner at about 4:30 or 5 at the Plaza. Of course, our minds have changed 5 times in the last 2 days, so who knows what the final outcome will be.

CHH closes at reg park hours of 7pm on MNSSHP nights.

We're having Le Cellier for lunch the day of the party and then doing CS either at MK or at the resort before we go over. I'm leaning toward in MK because we don't want to eat too early as we'll have had a TS lunch.

I'd definitely recommend Kona - it's just a monorail ride away.

But you might want to make your reservation a bit earlier (4:30 or 5:00, maybe?) to give yourselves plenty of time to get to MK, enter the park, and grab a spot for the opening parade.

Do you have any downtime planned for your party day? Starting the day with a 9:15am breakfast and then ending the day with a late night party sounds like a L-O-N-G day. Since you already have a table service meal planned for the day, I would plan for a late afternoon nap and a quick service dinner at some point in th evening so you don't miss part of the party that you paid $$$ for.

I'm having the same delima I don't really like Cosmic Rays or Casey's Corner all that much, and I think Columbia Harbour House closes early. So what's left Tony's or The Plaza. I've heard both good and bad about Tony's, seen the pictures on the food porn thread, and read the menu. It looks like a miss to me. That leaves The Plaza. Since it's a sit down burger joint I'm hoping it will be better than Cosmic Rays and faster than Tony's. Hope this helps.

Great minds think alike. :cool2:
