We aren't going until October but I can start calling for some PS's next week!!!! We arrive on Saturday at MCO about 1:45 p.m. Hopefully by time we get to All Star Movies we can check in. So I am trying to plan what to do next!
Options I am considering are:
1. Just go to MK and deal with crowds, eat at Crystal Palace (which was sooooo crowded our last trip on Saturday before night parades), or try counter service perhaps at Columbia Harbor
2. Go to Animal Kingdom for 4 p.m. parade and eat at Tusker House (on parade route) then hop to MK. I have not seen this parade yet and don't know if we will make it until 4 p.m. the day we spend in AK.
3. Go to Epcot and get late lunch in World Showcase - while this might be best food option I am afraid it will be a lot of walking! But it would be easy to hop on monorail to MK after eating.
4. Make PS for O'Hanas, 1900 Park Fair, or Chef Mickey's for around 5 p.m. and then head into park.
This trip there will be 10 of us (4 children), one vegetarian, and my mom who cannot eat massive amounts at buffets!
In Sept 2000 like I said we ate at CP and waited nearly an hour for our table for 4 so I am not inclined to try that again. After dinner we took train to Toontown while people were lining up for first showing of MSEP. We rode Barnstormer, did the mouse houses, rode IASW and then saw fireworks and second parade. That worked out pretty good. I don't know that we'll get lucky this time with a 2nd parade so I am planning to watch it at 8 p.m.
Any advice from people who have done a similar itinerary would be greatly appreciated!
