HI thinking we'll try for Fantasmic dinner package again. If it shows at 7:30 in October what is latest we can schedule dinner? Is 6:00 too late?

I read one post which said that someone had waited in line for 40 minutes for their ps - this was at H&V and then had only 20 minutes to eat their meal and get to the show. Bear in mind that if this happens to you (and you need to get to the show 15 minutes in advance of the show) - then you will have less than half an hour to eat your meal including the walk(or run to get there). You may just about get away with this at a buffet service restaurant like H&V but I reckon that you would have no chance with say, MM which is waiter service and a distance from the show.

I would personally book the meal at about 5.00pm to 5.30pm latest - but then I don't like to be rushed when eating - but what do other DIS-ers think?

IMHO Not any later than 5.30 p.m. That gives you plenty of time to enjoy your meal before Fantasmic.

If you absolutely have to do the dinner package than I would agree no later than 5:30. IMHO, I would make a PS for 5:00, sit back and enjoy my meal than around 6:30 walk over to the show. We were just there over Memorial day weekend and had no trouble finding a seat off center a little for a 7:30 show.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I just made a PS for the Hollywood & Vine Fant. Package for July 14th...the show that evening is at 9pm and our reservations are at 6pm.....that should be ok?

I was hoping for something a little earlier to make sure we catch all of the parade but we will just sit at the beginning of the parade....

What time do you need to get to the show? Is there a big difference in the reserved area?

KyMattDisney, There is not a bad seat in the theater. 6:00, will give you plenty of time to eat and ger to the show. For a 9:00 p.m. showing I would get there by 8:30. I am not a big fan of this package, pay close attention to your bill.

I have used the dinner package about about 6 times now and I really do like it. The first time I went to Fantasmic, I waited in line about 1 1/2 hours before it started and never wanted to do that again.

Yes, you do pay a bit more for it, because stuff like an appetizer and dessert are included which I normally would not get, but you have to eat anyway, so might as well eat and then get a little something out it. You only have to go 30 minutes before the start of the show with the package, but I do eat really early then walk around a bit and arrive 30 minutes prior. This May, we had a 5:50 PS at Brown Derby. We watched the 5:30 parade and then went and ate. Fantasmic was at 9:00 that night so we were able to do a few things after we ate and then went to Oscars.
