Hi everyone,

I have a convention business dinner to go at Ariel's in the Grand Californian in a couple of months, and was wondering what I should pack to wear?

Dress and heels and hose, business casual, or the same jeans I've been in all day?

Thanks in advance for your advice,

When we went, we didn't dress up at all. Well, my daughter did but I just wore a pair of capris and a t-shirt...nothing fancy. My son wore shorts and a t-shirt. I guess it just depends on how formal you want to be.

Just an FYI - Ariel's Grotto is actually in California Adventure rather than in the Grand Californian hotel. Just didn't want you showing up at the wrong place.

Everyone there is usually in their resort clothes that they have been wearing all day

Last year we wore what we wore to the park, shorts and t-shirts. Everyone else was dressed the same except for the little girls in their princess dresses. princess:

Just go casual with what your wearing in the park. No one is expecting a park guest to go change into fancies. Most Disneyland restaraunts like the Blue Bayou are like that as well. Ive been to Ariels before and we went in what we wore to the park, so jean capris and a tank top is what I wore.

I agree with Maiynamouse...are you sure its Ariels Grotto? this is a very kid friendly restaurant with princesses...Ive never seen a convention dinner being held there...could it be that you are having dinner at the Grand California hotel???

Thanks guys, yeah, it's definitely Ariel's Grotto in DCA. My convention group is a bunch of Disney specialty travel agents, so Disney is showing us their character meals so we can talk about them to our guests. :thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear it's casual, I really didn't feel like packing dress up clothes for the trip! (Not to mention, I don't think I have a *single* pair of heels in my closet anymore!)
