Flying Fish -
We kinda feel like this is part of "home" for us. Since we stay at BWI and walk by this lovely establishment several times a day. This is a favorite of ours and I guess that explains why we ended up there twice this trip. I'm going to post visit #1 first. This was our first night dining alone without the kids as they had to fly home early to go back to school. I think I was missing them more than I'd realized because I hardly took any pictures.
No pics of the drinks but I've got receipts showing DH had a Margarita and I had a "Dirty" Gin Martini.
First of all I just love the decor, not a great pic but it will give you an idea if you haven't been there before:
For appetizers I ordered the signature "Jonah Lump Crab Cakes" with Savory Vegetable Slaw, Red Pepper Coulis and Ancho Chile Remoulade. This dish is always right on!!!!
DH ordered the Lobster Soup and Sandwich - Brandy Laced Lobster Bisque, Leeks, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Petite Lobster BLT. DH shared the Bisque with me and it was wonderful, however he wolfed down the BLT part before I could even ask how it was or get a good pic of it. He was rushing in order to be able to slip out of the restaurant between courses to run to ESPN and see if LSU was headed to the BCS Championship Game.
Gotta admit I was curious too.
Entrees - DH was disappointed the Scallop Dish was stamped "Fresh Out" on the menu so he decided to give my favorite dish a try. We both had the Potato Wrapped Snapper which was as amazing as I'd remembered....Heaven on a plate:
We got our desserts to go, both cheesecake, and ate them in the room watching ESPN, sorry no pics of dessert.(You really didn't expect pics of dessert in our room did you?)
As I said we just LOVE this place. We've never had any issues with service or food and that's why we ended up going again on our last night. That will be up next and it will be two new appetizers and two new entrees!!!!
