I thought I'd share our recent dining experiences based on our trip to the World from 3/7 to 3/16 2016. We were a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 disney adults (son 14 and daughter 10) and used the regular DDP
3/7: Arrived at MK in the afternoon. We had Cosmic Rays for a QS meal. All 4 of us had the chicken/rib combo. Way too much to finish everything, but it was hot, tasty, and good.
3/8: QS at Hollywood Studios for Lunch. Went to the Garden Grill at Epcot for dinner. Had a 6:35pm reservation and we were at our table by 6:40. Good service, good food (the Turkey and steak were great). Overall, we left happy and satisfied. More turkey and steak were brought to our table when requested.
3/9: Ohana for dinner. We had a 6:30pm reservation and were seated by 6:25pm, right after we checked in. The service and food were fabulous. Skewers of meat were frequent and more pot stickers were brought upon request as well. Based on recent review and our own past experiences, this was great and one of our best visits to Ohana ever.
3/10: BOG. We had a 7:55pm reservation and were at our table by 7:45, just 5 mins after checking in. 3 of us had steak, all done medium rare. The steaks came out great and a true medium rare. My wife had the chicken and it was done perfect. Service was a bit slow, as drinks sat unfilled several times. Good meal and good atmosphere.
3/11: Ohana breakfast. Great food and service again. Frequent refills on the breakfast platter were available. Our only problem is we were seated out of sync with the characters, so we were completely done eating and had not seen a single character. They promptly brought all of them by, but was not as "fun" as it could have been.
3/11: Mama Melroses Fantasmic Dinner pkg: We were seated by 4:20pm and the service was poor. Hardly saw our server. Appetizers were great, food was good, and the ticket to Fantasmic was great too. Lots of extra food as it was early and we were not too hungry, but the kids liked what they had. I don't recall what everyone ordered, but the calamari was great !
3/12: Cape May dinner: Had great service and the crab legs were awesome. My son and I were really into the crab legs, the girls not as much. My wife does not care for this as she is not into seafood, but it was a great buffet and the desserts were incredible.
3/13: Tepan Edo: Tried it for the first time. My daughter ordered the chicken, my wife the chicken and steak combo and my son and I had the steak and shrimp combo. The chef was great and the kids really liked this meal. It was top 3 for our family for this trip. We had 3 others at our grill and it was a fun time and the other people were great.
3/14: Tusker House Breakfast: One of our favorite breakfast places and it was good again. Even with some big tables in the room, or server was great with drinks and taking plates away. Food was excellent, even though they were running low at times on certain items. The carved Ham was the best I had ever had there.
3/15: BOG Lunch: Order in advance ! I am glad we did as the lines were huge that day. We found a table in the main dining room and our food was out about 10 mins after we sat down. Great sandwiches and very tasty.
3/15: The Wave for dinner. I guess we saved the best for last. This is by far a hidden gem in Disney dining and we had the best steaks of the trip here. My daughter had chicken and my son had swordfish. All were excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere just as good.
Top 3 for our trip:
1) The wave Dinner
2) Ohana Dinner
3) Tepan Edo Dinner
