Dining Reservations for 2 people

My question is I cannot get reservations for 2 people, but can for 3. If I make the reservation for 3 will there be a problem when we get to the restaurant with only 2?

Nope. Just tell them at check-in...party of 2. I book for me 1 party as 3 never had an issue. It is Disney's system you are just playing the game,

I made my reservations for 3. At least I could Blue Bayou. I could not get for two no matter how many times I refreshed. Thank you.

I always make the reservation for 3 and then modify it to 2

Some restaurants/reservations do not allow you to modify. In those cases, tell the host/hostess that you are a party of 1 or 2 when you check in.

I’ve been able to modify for Blue Bayou, Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, Cathay Circle, Trader Sam’s, and Lamplight Lounge

But not for the Fantasmic! premium dining package at Riverbelle Terrace, for example.

My daughter was having the same problem and booked for 3 and then edited it to 2 and it worked.
