I think it's mainly the shows and pre-paid events; Spirit of Aloha and Hoop-Dee-Doo, neither of which are running right now. I thought Cinderella's Royal Table had a two-day policy, but that may have been reduced to one-day for now.
If needed, you can also always modify your reservation to the next day or any day in the future and then cancel. I've done this a couple times when things have come up unexpectedly, even within 20 minutes of the reservation with no issues.

Me too! I try not to abuse it and will cancel as soon as I know I won't make it, but it sure does come in handy when things come up or you change your mind the same day.
OMG never thought of doing that...I only missed one reservation due to being seriously ill (think I had bad food) and cancelled same morning, spoke to concierge at our resort and they were fine with cancelling it for me w/o penalties-charge.
We have had to cancel 2 reservations recently that were the next day. Neither one would let me because it was less than 24 hours to our reservation time. Previously, the prior to midnight trick ALWAYS worked.
So, I just modified and then canceled.
Just a head's up that the midnight thing may not work for you but modify will
Depending on the restaurant of course.
I walked up to the sign in podium and told the CM at BOG we had a cranky kid so I needed to cancel .. she said no worries get him back to the room .
I love the tip to modify and then cancel! I never knew this. Of course I would never want to abuse the system but it's good to know in case something happens.
Ok question because I’m not sure if I will be charged or not. I assumed 1 day meant 24 hours. We had a reservation at Narcoose’s at 7:25 on Nov 2. Well back in our room Halloween night, my daughter looked at the menu and said yuck. She’s 14, so I canceled and booked something else, but it was 1am so technically Nov 1. So about 43 hours in advance. You can cancel on Nov 1 for a Nov 2 adr right? I didn’t realize the whole midnight thing.
It's strange - our trip is 10 days out, and I was trying to cancel a Via de Napoli reservation online - the "Cancel" option wasn't there, and it said I had to call the phone number to cancel. Anyone else see this?
