A coworker is going to WDW for the first time and asked for my help in planning their quick service dining plan meals. I was surprised to see, on the WDW website, that several of the snack places say "Dining Plan not accepted". For example, Sleepy Hollow. Is that the case?

If so, I think it's rotten that WDW pushes the dining plan, and then has snack places with these awesome-looking snacks, that you can't use a snack credit for.

Just because it's a "snack" place, doesn't necessarily mean that you can use dining plan credits there. The list of places that DO accept dining credits is quite long.

If you go to the WDW website under dining plans, and pull up the list of participating restaurants, you can filter the list by dining plan and see all of the places it IS accepted.

I looked at that. It lists the snack places, such as Sleepy Hollow, that the Disney website says does not participate in the dining plan. That's my conundrum.

the link I posted is already sorted by locations that accept the Quick Service Dining Plan. Sleepy hollow is not on that list, but many others are. If you click on "Dining Plans Accepted" in the upper right corner you can select the dining plan they will be on and see restaurants that accept that dining plan specifically.

Sleepy Hollow does accept snack credits on the ddp. Everything except the pretzel dog and the waffle sandwiches are available as a snack credit there.

DisBuckMan beat me to it. Sleepy Hollow does not accept QS credits, but they do accept snack credits for SOME of the items. I don't think Disney's site has a list where snack credits are accepted. If you'll scroll up, you'll see a "2017 Confirmed Snacks" thread. I would say 99% of what's listed there is still a snack credit.

"Dining Plan Accepted" refers to venues where you can use either Counter Service or Table Service credits. The places that accept only snack credits are described as "Dining Plan not Accepted" because you cannot use TS or CS credits there.

Although not entirely up to date, the 2017 Confirmed Snacks thread at the top of this forum that Sharonabe mentioned is still pretty accurate. Also, many of the menus on allears shows the purple snack logo next to eligible items.

I've used a snack credit there before. It was valid on the regular funnel cake eith powdered sugar but with toppings.

WDW does not push a plan that cannot be used. If you look at the list of restaurants and see that the dining plan is not accepted, you need to see if that place is a counter service restaurant or if it just serves snacks and beverages. If there are not meals, then counter service credits cannot be used. Your example, Sleepy Hollow, is a snack restaurnat. No meals, however it is one of the better values to use a snack credit.

I would send your friend to one of teh disney vlogs on youtube for guidance. There are so may that give suggestions for counter service restaurant choices, snacks useage so you don't spend them on water, and much more.
