We are staying during free dining and bringing a 6 and a 2 year old with us. The 6 year old has dining credits but the 2 year old does not. Will the restaurants let us order entrees free for her or do we have to pay for her food?

If you are eating at a buffet then she will be free and can eat off the buffet (technically your plate). Otherwise at non buffet TS or CS if you want a meal for her you will have to purchase that off the menu.

The kids meals are usually not super expensive, and when the youngest was under 3 we did almost all buffet meals so it worked in our favor.

At restaurants where your order off the menu, you would have to pay for what you order.

I have heard of a few times where the server let someone order a meal from the menu for their under 3 child and didn't charge for it but I wouldn't count on it. You would just have to pay OOP for anything you order.

It's been 4 years since I've been with a "free" 2.5 year old, but this was our experience. The stated policy is that the child can share from your plate at menu locations, can get their own plate at a buffet, or you can order (and pay for) a child's meal, or side item or whatever you'd like at a menu location if you don't want to give up half your meal. However, the menu places we went basically let us order a regular kids meal for the child and didn't charge us. I think one place we didn't like the kids choices and ordered just a side that we did pay for, but they still brought the child a free drink.

I'd say, plan on sharing your plate or paying off a kids meal, but you'll likely be pleasantly surprised by not getting charged.

We were just there in May and this was our experience. Be our guest let my ALMOST 3 year old order her own meal, and while we expected to pay, we didnt have to. Also, CRT let her order some fruit instead of the french toast sticks because she decided that day she didnt like french toast :crazy2:
Either way, we were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating everyone was of our free 2 year old :)
