Dining Plan Question?

I went to the Disney site and played around with different levels of packages. I was wondering if I asked for a check in on Dec 1st and check out on Dec 12th does the dining plan cover all those days or is it connected to the 10 day park hopper and therefore we would only get meals for 10 out of the 12 days? The plans jumped from $2728 to $3586 for the basic dining plan to $6006 to the premium - that seems like a huge jump to me. Are there extra features that are being added that I am not aware of. I'm confused.....help!

Your dining plan is linked to the number of nites that you stay, not how long your tickets are for. So if you are staying for 11 nites, you get 11ts,11cs and 11 snacks for each person on the basic plan.
