We are just back from a fabulous vacation at the world. We had the best time! And we had great food on the dining plan. I'm not sure what the Dining Plan will hold for us in the coming years, but it was a great value for us this year. We went to all places we have never been before (except the Storybook Princess Breakfast). Just wanted to give everyone alittle update on the places we ate.
Cast of Characters:
Me, Mom - Likes to eat most foods and willing to try almost anything
DH - Likes to eat most foods, but eats mostly american standard fare
DD 9 - Loves hamburgers with mustard (no ketchup!), french fries and green salad. Will try new foods, but almost never likes them
DD 7 - Like me, eats almost everything and willing to try anything that is placed in front of her!
Day 1 (Arrival Day)
Colombia Harbour House
We arrived early, but I didn't make an ADR because we didn't want to be rushed (you never know how long travel time will take when you fly and we used the magical express from the airport). So we chose Colombia Harbour House because we were at MK. The adult meals were good, I got the fish and chicken combo, it was alot of food which was good because DD 7 got the macaroni and cheese and did not like it, so we shared my meal which she loved
. DH got chicken strips and enjoyed it also. DD 9 got the kids meal chicken salad and ate every bite. She said it was good and fresh. For dessert, we got the chocolate cake and the apple cobbler and both were very yummy (I was actually suprised at how good the desserts were!)
Day 2
Princess Storybook Breakfast at Arkshus
This was a must do for us. We did it last year and it was one of our favorite meals. It did not disappoint this year. The food was great and the princess interaction was fantastic.
We were let in about 5 minutes after check in and the girls got their picture taken with Belle and then we were seated. Our server was amazing, our coffee and juice was always filled and he brought an extra plate of the hot food before we even asked (I guess we looked hungry!) The hot food consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and cheesey potatoes. The potatoes were amazing! The princesses were coming fast so my DH went and got us fruit and sweet rolls from the buffet, which was all very fresh and yummy (he had to go back for more
). The princesses that came to our table were Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White, Mulan. I would recommend this meal for anyone who likes a good, hardy breakfast and of course any little princesses!
Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney
We choose to try this for dinner. It was our fist time and it was definately the best CS meal at Disney. (We ate here twice because it was so good!) DH got the chicken ceaser knife and fork salad. It was one of the best salads I have ever tried (anywhere!). It was a ceaser salad over garlic flat bread and the chicken was tender and perfect. I got the BBQ chicken salad and it was very good, very fresh, very tasty and so large that I could only eat about half of it. Both DD's got a pizza which was so large neither of them could finish it, but both decided it was the best pizza anywhere (and believe me, they know pizza
). For dessert we got the creme brulee, brownie and cookies, which we all shared so we could try them all! It was so much food, that we brought one of the cookies back to the resort with us because we couldn't finish it all. Everyone should eat at Wolfgang Puck Express. It was one of the best meals of our trip and definately a great deal if you are on the dining plan.
Next up will be Days 3 & 4 (McDonalds at AK, Boma, ABC Commissary and Kona Cafe)
Any questions, ask away!!!
