If I am onthe dining plan but I order alcoholic drinks, can I use the TIW card for the discount on the drinks?

Yep, and anything else not covered by the DDP. Just remember, they will automatically add the 18% tip into it if you use it. Since we generally tip 18-20%, it still works out well for us.
