This is probably a really stupid question - but we have the deluxe dining plan and I made all of our reservations. Then printed them all out and realized - holy crap! I made most of our breakfast ones for 8am and most of our lunches for 11am. Are we going to be ready to eat lunch that soon after breakfast?? The reason I was thinking before noon for lunches was so that we would beat the crowds - I hate having to fight to get checked in and then wait some more for the people who are eating to leave so that we can be seated. What are your opinions???? Thank you!

We did a character breakfast at Crystal Palace last year at 8:20 am. Its buffet and the food was great. We were full till about 1:30, and we did not over eat. Most days we skipped lunch and went for a snack then had dinner. I found that on most days even when we had breakfast back at our villa. Hope that helps.

I was thinking around 1 as well. If we don't do lunches we won't use all of our dining credits. Oh boy. Lol

You'll probably finish breakfast around 9:00 (TS) or 9:30 (buffets) so only about 2 hours before lunch. I definitely wouldn't be hungry that soon and while you don't have to order all 3 courses, on the DxDDP you'll be entitled to an app, entrée, dessert and non-alc fountain beverage for lunch. Between breakfast and lunch that's a lot of food in a short period of time.

When we had the DxDDP we found that we did best with just 2 meals a day - either breakfast or lunch and a 2 credit Sig dinner. It was still a lot of food, but much better than trying to have 3 meals a day. Also, depending on how many TS restaurants you plan, you'll spend a lot of time going from one restaurant to another, not to mention 3 courses means your meals will take longer. All in all, the DxDDP is a lot of food and takes a lot of time so 2 meals a day is something to consider.

You're right - it is a lot of food! We only have 2 days where I've scheduled 3 meals and I was able to move lunch back so we will now have 5 hours between each meal :) I think we can do that - the others are late breakfasts and early dinners.
Thanks for the help!!

What we tended to do was if we had a character buffet lunch we had a snack for "lunch" then had an early dinner at a Signature Restaurant. We found we were just not hungry for lunch if we ate a breakfast buffet. YMMV.

our family works best if we have b'fast around 8am....and then we have lunch around 1pm..and then dinner around 7pm....

my boys are 11 and almost 14 and can handle eating a little "later" than we do at home..especially since after finishing dinner at 8:30 they might want to explore/swin or ride more rides!!
