DING Question

For those of you that have gotten good ding fare (and booked them), how far out are they?

The only DINGS for MHT that I've seen only show like 5 days in August that you can fly (although on the ding page it says thru 10.28)

Is DING supposed to be a last minute thing?

remember that DING! is a marketing tool.

somewhere in the fine print it states that prices are not available on all dates or flights.

Since I book all my flights right after the dates open up, I've had no problem getting DING! fares for the days I want.

As the planes fill up, you will have a harder time getting the fares on the flights and dates you want.

That is why I'm confused, I'm waiting for a DING on a flight for late Sept. It's off season, and all the ticket levels are still available. So I would have thought that some/all of those dates would be included in the DING.
 
I thought this was weird too, but if you go into the reservation area, you can pick different dates. I am looking at the end of Oct and the ding fares show up for those even tho Aug only comes up on the 1st page. Seems like a goofy set up to me.
 

Karen, I've booked Ding fares for September already. What you have to do when you first click on Ding to see the list of cities and fares, is change the dates on the very top of that page. Don't click the "book now" until you've already changed the dates; otherwise, it will only show a few dates in August. Hope this helps!!
 
Yeah, we had the same problem, first it looked like they weren't offering our dates (last week of Sept. as well) but then somehow my husband got it to appear and we booked it. If you need more specifics, you can pm me and I'll get him to answer you.
 
We have booked our outgoing flight through DING but whenever my return flight comes up it says unavail.....I have a feeling I will be paying full fare for my return flight cause I don't want to wait much longer. There is alot of avail on those flights right now so I am not sure why it keeps saying unavail on the DING only but I will keep my fingers crossed :wizard:
 
Hockeychic, have you tried just calling? When we were booking, I wasn't sure how infant fares worked. I called and told them I had a Ding! fare, and she looked up the infant fare for me (it was more, actually, so we just paid the Ding! fare for the baby), but she made it sound like they might be able to book the ticket over the phone, or at least help out. It's worth a shot - worst case, they can still sell you the full-price fare.
 
I haven't been dinged in weeks. I updated my info last week and still nothing. We are going 11/5-11/14. I know those days aren't out yet but I don't know if my ding is working!
 
I don't think it is, because we get one about once a day. I'd call or email.
