Different Spin on a MVMCP FP+ Question

I've seen all the threads about people wanting to book FP+ between 4-7 for the party. And I understand that will work as long as you are doing that as one of your park days. But what if you are planning on ONLY doing the party that day?

I have 4 days of park tickets (military salute) so I will only be able to schedule 4 days worth of FP in advance. Does it matter which 4?

For instance, could I decide to NOT schedule any for one day I am planning on going to the parks, and instead use them on my MVMCP day?

IF that is allowed, on the day that I go to the parks with no pre-books FPs, will I then be allowed to book them once I get in the park?

From the way I understand it you can create another MDE account under a different email to link the MVMCP tickets. Then you can book 3 FP on your regular military tickets and 3 more on the party tickets. We are also doing this and my plan for our party day is to book 3 at AK during the day on our regular tickets and then 3 at MK from 4 to 7 on our party tickets. Hope this helps.

But then your MVMCP would not be linked to any type of hotel reservation, and you could only book 30 days out yes? My main reason for doing this was to try and get an extra 7DMT FP. But still, 15 FPs is better than 12.

Does anyone know about leaving one of my park days blanks and booking with I get there? Or will that still count as one of my days?

Up in the air. But yes, at least 5. Probably 6. It's also possible we'll do a split stay. I don't know if I want to mess with that though.

If you can't get the additional FP+ I would not waste another day on them. Last year at MVMCP every ride was basically a walk on. If you can stay after the second parade I bet you will be able to get on 7DMT standby with little or no wait at all.

From what I know FP+s are based on # of days on your park tkt(except AP's). Resort reservations come into play when you can start requesting them.

So I had a 8 day PH, and was able to book 8 FP+ days, not in order. So if you only book 3 days on a 4 day tkt, then you should be able to get FP+ the day of the party.

What I don't know if there are FP+ times during the party hours.

My thoughts are you technically have 5 days you can book FP, 4 for the military salute and 1 for the party. So if you are not using you military tickets the day of the party then you should be able to book FP for all 5 days at 60 days out. If you only are able to book them for 4 days in advance then yes you can still book FP at the park. Anyone with valid park admission can book FP in the park.

MVMCP is not a normal park ticket, so don't know if it would count as a 5th day for FP+s.

My thought is at Epcot only 1 FP is really useful to me anyway. I can probably arrive at RD at get a FP for Soarin' or Test Track. I'd rather schedule 3 more things at Magic Kingdom and ride the mountains between 4-7 before the party starts. I'm hopeful of the lines being short during the party, but preparing for them not being that way. Last time that's all we did. This time we want to actually watch the parade and fireworks.

Thanks! Based on another thread about the same thing for the Halloween party, it sounds like you can book FP with just the tickets.

The last thing I'm worried about is how the scanners will know I'm entering for the Christmas Party vs scanning me for one of my park days. Can I link the tickets in MDE, but when I go to the gate still use a hard ticket for entry instead?
