Differences Between Soarin' in Orlando and Anaheim

I had always heard that Disneyland's Soarin' Over California had a different, California-specific projection than the Soarin' in Florida. But recently, a friend of mine was in Orlando and I asked him if he did Soarin' and he said no since it's exactly the same ride as the one we have here in Anaheim. Can anyone confirm this?

The first version of the film (Soarin' Over California) played the same at both parks.

The current versions (Soarin' Around the World) have different final vignettes.
(The Florida film ends at Epcot, the California film ends at Disneyland.)

Thanks for clarifying! It's one of my favorite rides so I undoubtedly would have jumped on it at either park, even if it was identical.

The only superior part of the Anaheim version is that the line isn't as long!

Though with he new third theater in Orlando this may have changed. I haven't experienced it yet.

I have always appreciated the stronger aviation theming at DCA to the weaker theming at Epcot. That is another difference IMO.

Yeah, I was really thinking about the ride itself. The queue is better at DCA too.

We were fortunate to be able to go to DL in January (I FINALLY got to ride in the front row!). The movies are the same except the ending.

The best part is the queue themeing. They have a very heavy aeronautical theme which I prefer over WDW. At WDW it's hut a long boring hallway.

Yes, the lines aren't as long for Soarin' now that the third theater has opened. And it's much easier to get a fastpass for it too.

I haven't been to Epcot since the early '90s but I've walkled right on to Soarin' at DCA before and always been in the front. Definitely an emotional ride for me and the aviation theme leading into the ride is pretty moving.
