Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

Kristi - In case you haven't left yet, have a great time on the Wonder this weekend!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you return. :goodvibes

that sounds great thanks
is anyone else doing disneyland before we go?
We have booked the Shareton Park from the 13th to 17th of april
We have a dinner at the fire and ice resturant in the gardenwalk for the Friday night if anyone wants to come? http://www.fire-ice.com/anaheim-ca/
We're local & passholders, so we can meet in the park most anytime. :earboy2:Melanie (my2mickeykids) how about you?
Sorry to say, I did NOT see Johnny Depp on Monday when we were both in the park all day. pirate:

I like Johnny Depp as an actor, but he is kindaaa different in real life...but if he was in the Capt. Jack character, now that's a whole new ball game. :rolleyes1 Guess that's because he's such a good actor. :confused3

A couple of us are looking to make reservations for Palo for brunch how do we link the reservations? We still can't make the reservations until Jan 31st so still have time.

Thanks Dany! We are leaving tomorrow morning. I will ask Guest Services if they have any information on our cruise. I am REALLY glad to be going on our 10 day in April. This 2 day cruise is so short, I would be disappointed if I had nothing else booked.

Oooo, I would love to see Johnny Depp. I bet he is in disguise and hard to pick out of a crowd if you were not specifically looking for him.

If you reservations are linked for dining then you will see everyone's names when you make the Palo ressie. We are linked with Virdis, so I am able to see him and his families names everytime I book something. He also will be able to see my families names. If you are not linked, then both parties should book the same day around the same time dining and when you get to the ship tell the Palo staff and they will make a note to seat you together.

Have a great weekend everyone and I will post when I get back. Unfortunately, I have to stay up to midnight tonight to book sites for my Brownies to sell cookies at in Feb/March. I would much prefer to go to sleep early.

Man! I work in Long Beach and I would love to see the Wonder come in, but I don't get off until early afternoon. Hey Kristi, what time are you boarding? I can be your Bon Voyage party!:cheer2:

A friend who worked at Napa Rose in the Grand Californian says Johnny Depp came in a few times, always very polite and soft spoken.

Anyone...When you booked your Palo Brunch...was there different times to go? If so, what is the starting time to book as well as the last time you can book?

TIA! :goodvibes

Kristi...did you ever find out anything on the activities that will be offered for this weekend? You will be at sea the whole time, right? 2 days of bingo and the spa would be enough for me. :worship: Have a WONDERful time...relax, relax, relax and enjoy.

I saw 10:30, 11 and 11:30. I was booking at 9:10 PST (12:10 eastern) on the 17th and I was really surprised that so many Palo brunch and dinner times were already gone along with spa times. I checked Palo out a little earlier today and the times that were left seemed to be on port days. But if you didn't get a Palo time, don't worry, you can get one once your board. On our first cruise we didn't book Palo in advance and shortly after we boarded I headed to Palo and was able to get great brunch and dinner times. So all is not lost if you didn't get a time or the time you wanted. ;)

Did anyone book excursions through DCL already? I'm curious to hear what everyone is booking. I'm trying to make some decisions for our family. The Mexican Cooking Experience in (can't remember the port!) looked like fun. We've done the Mexico route several times so we've enjoyed the dolphins, zip lining in PV, Randi's Happy Horses, pirate sail in PV, etc (all of which I TOTALLY recommend) so we're looking for something different. We might do the pirate sail in Cabo but we're not sure yet. Such decisions, lol!

Someone may have already posted this video of the Wonder leaving for CA but on the off chance it wasn't I figured I'd post it...it's pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aVsCsthfs0

Also, for those of you who've never been to the port, I found this helpful posts from another thread of Berth 93, where the Wonder will be docked while in port:

It's no Port Canaveral but in the past on top of the building they put up Nemo and Mickey ballon as I recall. Again, no PC but DCL does do their best with what they have to work with.

i book all the excursions with disney.
puerto vallarta-pirate boat
manzanillo-city tour and shoping
mazatlan-mexican flokloric
cabo-dolphin encounteur

We're doing a lot of the same excursions you've done, several for the second (or fourth!) time.
PV - Outdoor Adventure zipline
Mazatlan - Randi's, then a half day city tour
Manzanillo - Karmina Beach Day
Cabo - Dolphin swim

I can also recommend Las Caletas in PV and the turtle farm excursion in Manzanillo, although the turtle farm can't be booked through DCL.

We are booked through Disney to do the pirate sail in PV
Nothing booked in Manzanillo
Booked with Randi in Mazatlan
Haven't' booked anything in Cabo yet but would like to do some kind of resort thing. Any recommendations?

All we have booked so far is the pirate excision in PV.
I read in cabo most beaches are public and it's very easy to get around at the end of the marina.
One article I read said you can get a water taxi/boat at the marina over to the beach. Anyone done this or read about it?
I 'm hoping that the next few mnths will see more post on the boards about MR excisions.

In Cabo we've just gone to the beach and hang out in front of "The Office". It's a restaurant/bar and all you have to do is get a few drinks and you get lounge chairs and an umbrella...we watch the kids play in the shores of the ocean with a beautiful view of the ship in the background. We also usually rent a jet ski and my husband takes the boys out right from the beach shore! I recommend it and it only costs you the cost of the drinks and whatever else you buy (or jet ski rental). Very relaxing.
