Ok.. last weekend of moving than I can concentrate on our upcoming cruise.

Does anyone have a checklist of must haves for the cruise? When I read thru the other forums, people say to bring extension cord, travel clock, air freshner, Sharpie pens, highlighters, etc... What do you guys bring?

I have all that in my 'box' of stuff that I have been putting together of things to not forget. I'm also taking Tums, sandwich sized and gallon sized baggies, scissors, bottled water for the excursions.

I am always willing to play Scrabble, but someone with more organizational skills than me would have to schedule. I would most likely end up playing alone if i were in charge. Or just look for the perrson with their travel Scrabble in hand that is me, and we can play.

You should schedule a scrabble meet in Diversions, that is the game playing club right? I would totally show up on a sea day if I had nothing planned to hang out and play. Come to think of it, I have never played Scrabble. Would like to learn. I figure with 5 sea days, the kids will be busy in the clubs and my DH and I will be wandering around the ship looking to have fun and relax. Would love to hang with our fellow DIS'ers.

On one of my cruises, there was a standing "cigar & beer" night for the boys - like every night at 9. We can pick a time and have a standing "game" night at Diversions. Just show up and see if anyone else is there and up for a game and just come and go as we please.

Yep - will do...sounds like a "pin trading seminar" would be a better title?

Once I have an idea of how many people, I will make sure I print enough of my "pin trading 101" info so everyone can have a copy.

We are up to about 10 people so far!

You got it!!! I will be the girl with the glass of amaretto! I am on FB as well..I will try to send a photo along for this role call...I am used to sailing with a large group that already know me...so I have forgotten that all my NEW friends don't know what I look like!

Also, they did have an area titled Pin Trading on one of the navigators...it discussed that every night there was a special location to purchase LE pins...maybe the CM will be doing some trading on board too

This is officer trading...a lot of fun! The officers line up in the atrium and all wear lanyards - can be a little bit of a mob scene, but it is a very nice way to meet and greet the officers of the cruise line.

Magnet hooks (staterooms are a metal box)
Highlighters for the navigators
Bug spray/wipes & bite stick
air freshener/spray
Med list (keep with ins card)
Copies of passport, D.L., Credit Cards, Ins Cards
Put an itinerary in each piece of luggage/bag/purse
Ben Gay/Icy Hot

We also love to play Uno -- never leave home without at least one deck! Sometimes we even let the kids play too.

Skip-Bo is another one we take camping it's by the makers of Uno. Danny will be lookin' for a Backgammon partner...anyone...

And I see you also have a 5-year-old girl, we'll have to introduce them. We're traveling with another family with a daughter the same age as my older girl, so my 5-year-old is often the odd man out.

Yes, definitely! Macy won't actually turn 5 until a week after the cruise but all of her friends at school are already 5 so she thinks she is at well. I am hoping that she meets kids through the dis so that she will want to spend a little time in the club.

Yep, I now remember the story.Don't feel bad, sounds like something that I would also do. Personally, I think deck 7 is a good location. 2 floors up to the pools or 2 floor down to the kid clubs.

We have been aft (waaay white wall verandah room aft) and have had a great time. I get some motion sickness but only in the front. I bet you'll be fine.

The Pin Trading 101 paperwork is up to 6 pages so far...I am going to actually put it in a Power Point - it will be MUCH easier to transport that way. I will see if it can be webhosted - so you can see it from home...please don't expect a super duper presentation...it will most likely just be the slides (maybe if I get ambitious I will add music). I want to include photos of things as examples, so the PPT format will work the best. I will also be able to play it on my laptop when we get together

So, this will take another couple of days for me to prepare...who do I send the file to for upload to the webpage? I am so disorganized with all of this...my apologies for asking for this over and over again.
